Calgary - random talk thread
I'm in my boat for good reason...
And I can count the number of times I've made real steaks here on one hand... and have about five fingers left over....
Call it what you will, but I consider myself a pretty down to earth guy;
and part of that are 'tastes' that are generally easily within my own budget...
But it doesn't help when i go and buy more car parts like I did today... for an eventual brake down-grade
then there's my compulsion for ebay, or buying more car parts online
I'm right now thinking of buying this;
Cobalt Armrest Replacment Latch 22725234 - Crate Engine Depot
Only problem is, that is probably nearly what I paid for the rest of the armrest setup
yeah it was looking like no one was here... so instead of having three posts in a row, I did a merger, then tied in one third of it to your post...

recap;
2007 G5 in Pick N Pull;
I probably bought too much off of it (including rear hubs, front spindle/brake assembly, armrest (which was bought at the same time as the aforementioned damaged headlamp wiring)... but would REALLY like the back half off of that car
I'm going to go to the garage right now to sort through what's going back...
I was charged more than I was told I would on some stuff, and the stupid chick at till charged me for stuff I flat out shouldn't have been;
I mean, someone snagged outer pads as well as 3/4 caliper mounting bolts... why would would that stupid girl charge me for not removing the inner pads!!!?!??! ~ I mean they're completely USELESS!

and I did just about jack-squat;
looked over my receipts, to figure out what's going back...
re-assembled my tv/stereo downstairs... and re-hooked up my xbox360
did some laundry...
calling it a night.

seafoamed the car, smoked for about 30secs then stopped so i drove with it and it felt better, but i only used 1/4 of the can so the plan is when i get to 1/4 tank of gas, throw about half in the gas tank, and redo the rest through the brake booster

yup, but (and he won't admit this) my brother gave away my wireless reciever...
I'm pretty sure that to do it properly you're not supposed to put it in the tank ~ iirc I've read that that chances dissolving any gunk in the tank, and inadvertently moving it to the injectors... which is a much more expensive flush btw...
EDIT:
yup, I was right;

it says on their site 1/3 in the oil, 1/3 in the gas tank, and 1/3 through the vacuum line, but i dont put it in the oil. but the fuel filter would catch any gunk from going to the injectors, and it dissolves it i believe so there shouldnt be like chunks
I was under the impression that car with a cai driven the exact same way (and all other things being equal) will get better mileage. Negligibly better, but certainly not worse?
