not at all. haha it seems at least from my experience (never been pulled over) that they are nice if your honest and nice back

 

one of the methods they're taught is to act in a certain manner to 'demand' respect.
any level of law enforcement is trained in how they are supposed to interact with citizens - and a part of it can be easily summed up, as being a douche-nozzle.

a number of years ago a buddy was recounting a story where an old friend pulled him over;
and was in the process of gettin medieval when he realized it was an old friend whom he just pulled over - and who wasn't being "disrespectful" but was trying to say "hi"...
the guy was let off with a warning;
moral of the story: most cops are jerks - because they're trained to be, and becasue it's habit forming.
