Alright guys, so here is the deal.
For tuning with hptuners, each car that needs to be tuned must be registered on the hptuners interface first. HPtuners charges $50 per credit, and 2 credits are required to license one VIN on the interface.
The first thing I will need to do for each car is hook up the interface and download the current file. I will then be able to analyze the file and determine what can be done to optimize the tune and start building baseline tables.
We run into a problem here, because I cannot actually make changes to the file until it is licensed on my interface (2credits)
Once it is licensed, I can make changes as many times as I want, and write to the car as many times as needed.
Once I have the file, the next thing that we would want to do is take the car out on a day with decent temperatures, and drive it in open loop to see how the car behaves to get a better idea of where to clean it up.
I am going to need the following from everyone when we get started:
-Year / Model
-List of all Mods
-current file that is in the cars computer
-Open loop log run to indicate how the car runs
-Any changes that you would like made aside from regular tuning (fan temps, traction control, torque reduction, etc.)
I know a lot of you are in a rush to get tuned, but keep in mind its not something that can be done quickly like installing a mod on your car. The best tunes are built over time with lots of care and attention put into all aspects of the cars operation. Also, our current weather patterns aren't really the greatest time to go into heavy tuning changes, as the difference in air density and temperature can throw things off a bit, as the car works heavily on air flow.
I will keep this first post updated with changes as necessary.

Hey Mark, I am in!!
Question for ya, would it be possible to get the baseline run in tonight, and then you can tinker with the settings until I am back next week when we can download it into the car on a Sunday and get some good runs in??

We can start by licensing the car, and maybe change some settings, but If I'm gonna flash fuel tables on there and what not, we need to do maf runs right away.
I would like in on this maybe, depending on when this is going on. Oh and Mark I might have the prep work issue worked out but I might need to know what your schedule is like over the next couple of weeks.

Also, this isn't really going on at any particular time, I am just offering to tune anyone who feels it would help, making use of the hptuner I got and all the learning I've done to properly tune our cars.
cool, maybe I will get ahold of you in the mid of april so we can do some runs, right now I am running rich just ask Larry.

I'm not goin out at 12 am to tune your car when I have to work in the morning. You gotta give me a Saturday or Sunday where we can get out for some log runs. I offered to license you on my interface, now its your turn to put some of the effort into your baby.
And yes, Larry and I are mostly tuned, after much work and learning. I still have a ways to go, but mine seems to be a strange animal compared to everyone else.

Oh I know you are.
The reason I started this thread is so we can get the ball rolling on what we are going to do, when, how, etc.
We can talk about tuning til race city opens, but I need to get an action plan in place for everyone so that everybody is actually ready with their greatest potential when we all hit the blacktop.
I know a lot of you are not really interested in racing this year, but It may be our last, so I think it would be good if we could all get out together on at least one night with our best foot forward.

If Larry's car is any indication, all this tuning should go very well.

Should be ok. I'm gonna be under Mike's car for a bit.
That works. Yours will be nice and easy. I don't want this to sound negative or condescending, all of your guys cars look and sound amazing, but most of you have very standard generic mods that are very easy to tune.
If Larry's car is any indication, all this tuning should go very well.
