Ok, so Calgary no longer has a race track, and I have been seeing talk of a meet...

Me and another local (at least one for now*) are going to drive up to Edmonton/Leduc for the 'Street Legals' racing on June 29th;
That's the friday of the long weekend btw.

I'm officially putting it out there, that we're coming, and if anyone else in AB/SK/BC/MB or what ever want to come, we can make a mini meet of it.

I hope to see at least some others there!

like wise. At least im hoping ill be there. My clutch, flywheel and cmc arrive on monday. I'm going to be installing it on the weekend. So as long as nothing goes wrong, i should make it to the track.

 

Nathaniel ~ this is a Friday evening event that Castrol hold every weekend (it's exactly like Race City's "secret Street" events they held almost every friday during the summer).

Since we're a little more than four weeks out, can you arrange to swap a shift with someone?

I don't know if there is any discernible time savings by taking the yellowhead (iirc just west of brandon) - but if either or, both of you decided to head this way (as in Calgary via #1) - you're more than welcome to crash at my place.

I haven't heard of any (even psudo) Cobalt meet since the 2009 meet at (iirc) Castrol...
the 2010 was in Mission, and seemed to flop - and it flopped so bad that no one even mentioned a 2011 event (the website domain is no longer used/hosted - It was westerncobaltmeet.com)...

well, here's an update of sorts - I just filled out a form for something CSS.net is doing coined as "community outreach" ~ if everything goes according to plan, I should have some CSS.net "swag" to hand out...

Well **** I wont be making it. I forgot that weekend is bud country up here. Pretty much the biggest party of te year and I've had tickets since January, so unless it's moved up or back on week I won't be making it

 

Im sure Ill make it out for that. I usually get off early on friday's, and could use a good track day, plus meet some other cobalts. Just the cars, not the drivers.

If im hugging your car and welcoming it to edmonton, dont mind me
