So I promised peeps that I'd start the thread...

The day started out very Cold and we got out to Sylvan in record time, we decided to park on the main drag go grab a bite then come back to the cars take some shots and head out...

Well we got the food and are heading back to our rides when we see a Sylvan lake cop parked out behind our cars.

I ran ahead and the cop says to me "You better not plan on moving these I've called for backup and your all getting tickets and towed for illegally parking."

So this $%$%@*# of a cop has seen a group of 10 of us walking towards him and has called 2 other squad cars as well as the FUKING RCMP!!!

Turns out he's decided that not only are we illegally parked but we all have tinted windows and my tinted tail lights... So after him being a complete DICK to us his "back up" shows up and we talk nicely with this new officer who basically agrees that this cop is being a complete dick and could have let us off with only a parking ticket.

The short of the stick (as i'm sure others will want to post their comments) He tells us that we have 2 choices - either we pay 150$ for the illegal tint and still have our cars towed or we peal it right then and there.

Were talking this guy was a complete A$$Hole.

Anyway after the RCMP "back up" arrives and again agrees that this dick is totally power tripping... we have to peal the tint and get our tickets and decide to go to Red Deer for much needed beers.

i straight up would of been like do u feel that u have a gun and a badge that u need treat people who have pride in there cars like **** then i would of said dude it wasnt me who slept with ur wife it was that guy with the mustang

 

That sucks. You did not even do anything to make your appearnace known. I can see if a group of cars is acting like ******** on the street and burning out and stuff. While he was worried about you parked all together and illegal tint a murder was happening right down the road.

 

Damn,that constable just had to be a party pooper,sorry this **** had to happen to you guys on what should have been a fun day.Is this place you went to some small town? just asking cause it sounds like this dick had nothing better to due than stomp on his towns tourism industry.

 

damn, sorry to hear that ya'll.......... I dont know how things work up there but here, I would get the "Back-up" cops to state that the other cops was harrassing you, that is if they will.

idk about canada but in texas you cant get any tickets for illegal **** on your car if its parked. they have to wait till they see you on the road

ALSO to make him an even MORE of a pig there were other cars parked right beside!! us with tinted windows but he decided to only go for us.

 

Funny thing is they all agreed with us that he was and that it was like his first week or some ****... either way we are planning to file a complaint cause he was a complete ******* when we approached him - I was completely nice and friendly with him and even by the end was shaking hands with his partners and the RCMP for their assistance.

 

Tha sucks man, did they ticket you for your lights too?

 

Hahaha good times I called on my way home and i have an appointment tomorrow im gettin as dark as they go this time. F!@# the police I cant be without my tint

 

Yeah it's a small town, but TONS of tourist cause the lake there is awesome. Yeah he definately did a number on his tourism. We're gonna spread the word about him and make sure that people know what kind of asshats there is for law enforcement there before they go spend their hard earned money there.

Unfortunately they won't. I asked the RCMP (the canadian government police, they out rank all others, unless they don't have jurisdiction. In this case they DID have jurisdiction). I asked them if they could help over rule this guy, but they said they wouldn't because it was his "investigation and they didnt want to undermine him"

 

Call there town hall and say "you can't forget any tourist dollars here again and we are gonna tell other people not to spend their money here" you just might get those tickets recinded

yea send in a complaint and have the other officers back u up in court or somethin, that dick will definately get put under review....

 

hey i just found out that we dont have to pay the ticket BUT you wont be able to go into that town until you pay otherwise they can arrest you.

 

When I was talking to the RCMP i told him that I could understand the parking tickets if we were taking up more room than nessicary and annoying the public, but as you can see from the shot of us parked there is ZERO cars around us. On a normal nice day in Sylvan you can't even park a bicycle where we were it's so full. I asked him what he would do and he said that he would just have warned us and made us move, we obviously weren't hurting anyone, and that it would be a waste of time to write up that many tickets.... UGH I'm still pissed about that guy

 

No they didnt but they wanted to - the wanted me to peel it on the spot and I was like dude its fuking PAINT! I'll go home and soak em in Varsol if thats the case... I've had these done now for over 1 1/2 months and driven locally the entire time an no cop has given me hassel so *** dat civic punk and I just wont be returning to Sylvan again & I'm getting my front retinted ASAP.

G5Mike: I agree and I plan to log a formal complaint with this civic office tomorrow cause the treatment was damn rude and uncalled for and even if the ticket is not tossed I am still making sure they know they just lost a **** load of tourist business.

 

Yeah definately mention harrassment as we saw NUMEROUS cars around us with tinted windows and he did **** all about it. Remember the comment...

"what about that silver lexus 20' from us sir? What about ticketing him?"
"Im not dealing with the silver car right now I'm dealing with you guys! Now stop arguing with me"
