well being German, I started being called a **** by the schoolyard thugs at an early age -> well before I had even heard of the party - or the negative stereo-types associated with the party as a result of their time in power...
So really, that's about as nice a response as you would get out of me for such an accusation;
Especially in light of the fact that both sides of my family survived WWII, only having moved to Canada after retreat within Germany's boarders circa 1943/44, and ultimately being declared "displaced" by wars end...
besides politically, I lean right of center, not left.
Just an FYI

My family in wartime was considered "Auslander";
We lived in a German settlement north of the black sea (Ukraine);
the settlement we lived in was a direct result of Katherine the great's invitation for german groups to settle outlying areas of Russia...
If it wasn't bad enough that my great grandfather spent the duration of WWI in a labor camp;
My great grandfather, as well as my grandfather's oldest brother were executed by the red army prior to the german occupation of their territory (for essentially being old enough to recruit into the army)...

yup, family history can be neat subject matter.
So did anyone catch that the forecast was revised?
IIRC at the beginning of the week it was calling for something awesome like 23, then last night it was calling for 13, at this time it's calling for 15... hopefully it's not too chilly first thing in the morning!

well guys.. I just had a MAJOR curve ball thrown my way in the last 24hours.
my rear brakes started making noise, and long story short, I just booked the car in for (warranty) work for Tuesday...
I had a cruise I was going to go on saturday, but that's out - looks like I'm going to have to do something about my GA's exhaust to still lead in this cruise... the easiest/quickest solution is to adapt the older (read: noisey) exhaust back on, and call it a day...
Come to think of it, I think I'll start working on putting the old exhaust setup on the car tonight.
I'm not giving up, need be I have two other cars I could drive... but neither are really "lookers".

prob related to this.......
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...recall-187787/
"This thread has been beat to death, resurrected and killed beat sone more.....
Fact: the rear pads are more aggressive than a normal street pad and have a fairly high amount of metallic content. This along with insufficiantly lubricated slide pins results in noise and grooving, and eventually seizing the caliper.
The fix: Clean and lube your slide pins every 5k miles or so. It's easy, doesn't take too long, and prevents these issues. Very simple. Or change your pads. The key is keeping everything clean and lubricated." cut and pasted from another member

that sounds reasonable to me...
Had I known this last year, I would have messed with the ebrake setting back when I lubed the slide pins...
