Cruisn's turbo build
Start:
Well.. everyonce in a while I will come on and update pictures...
hood, fenders, and bumper is off.
please note fat tires...
Update:
completed today: sub frame dropped
axles pulled
tranny dropped
clutch removed
Time taken: 3 hours
And onto pictures:

Subframe Dropped:
Sway bar comparing:
Even got the woman to help:
I am under there somewhere....
Clutch removed:
This is after 154000km's of driving!!! GM clutches are jsut fine if you can drive properly.
this car was raced every friday for 4 months a year for 2years at the track. and is driven very hard on a daily basis!!
not even down to the studs yet...
no major wear on the pressure plate
Not really any heat scorching happening either.

nice matt. i wish i lived closer to ya i would so be there to help ya out. and way to prove that the clutches are fine. i'm on 50,000 and still going strong. and good way to keep the woman from saying your spending more time with the car then me.

36x36 front work area, 16x36 2 level area in back. it my dads shop.
And she had fun doing it. which suprised me. she changed te sway bar on her own.

Alrighty... so not as much progress as I thought. I need to make a parts list. and get some fittings and such. no biggy. anyways. tonights progress was:
Removal of flywheel:
Made in germany... NOWAY!!! LOL
Removal of exhaust and manifold:
Fit turbo and turbo manifold:
HArd to see but that is a top shot. lol.
more to come over the next few days and weekend for sure.
