For those that were asking, I just have some basic bolt-ons: custom short ram intake, 2.8 pulley, GMPP manifold, CTI downpipe with 3" cat and resonator, Magnaflow muffler, Stage 1 injectors, some tuning, Mustang HE, BWoody front engine mount, drag bags, a few gauges and I was running race gas...

For the mods I have, I'm pretty happy with my timeslip. (for now!)

Thank you!

I didn't do it until my last run. I'd take a run, curse a bit, let the car cool down... Take another run, curse some more...

Statistically, with all the 14.0's I had, I knew eventually I'd hit a 13.

hey guys - been watching this thread with interest. glad to see some good times coming out. something i did between runs that seems to help with cooling:
1) while waiting and just until I stage, have the AC on 4 (full)
2) this activates the fans and cools the engine temps and I am assuming the IC coolant too
3) turn fan off (0) when staging so AC is off
4) rinse and repeat

leaving your car running between runs will hold more heat than the fans will take away... compared to shutting it off to cool
it does work but your car starts to leak water too...
water on the track is no fun, track officials may get pissy if they see it too

heres an alternative. it costs <$10. and ive done it for a few months now and its amazing
if i get a 20-25 minute break, my IAT2s are often getting back down below 100, after peaking at 145 after a run.
and my engine coolant can drop down to the 130-140s....whereas a running engine even with the fans blowing, will stay at about 175-180

I have my rad fan and IC pump hooked up to a switch. I took the time to connect to the wires under the fuse box though. It's a bit extra effort, but works well, and it looks tidy. I also spray (mist actually) down the supercharger with water between runs and let the "latent heat of evaporation" pull some of that heat energy off the eaton.

The way I see it, it might not make a big difference, but every little bit helps.
