Good Engine Shop In Alberta, or close

Anyone know of a good engine/machine shop in Alberta or BC even? I have a cylinder head I want to send out and get ported but I don't just want to send it out to a shop I know nothing about. I've heard some bad things about certain shops. I called a few places and one even told me I was wasting my time working with a 4 cylinder!

mine is at campbell, so far it seems to be going well, atleast they've torn into one, and have started to build one, there machining side of it looks decent but haven't seen any results and they are fairly far behind schedule

I will have to give them a call. I want to make sure I take it to a place that has a flow bench so I don't get ripped off.

What intake manifold are you running? If you can, I'd get it put on a flowbench with the intake manifold on. This will make sure that you're really getting even air distribution.

Just a suggestion.

Really? I have only lived here a couple years so I am not sure. Got any idea where it was here? I'll try to look into it. I'd rather go local if possible.

I'll be running the Hahn intake manifold I think.

So there are only two shops here, then don't have flow benches though. One told me I'm waisting my time on a 4 cyl and to go buy a big block and the other said they can do it by eyeball. I'll just ship it to the US I guess.

If you know any guys who play in the GP ball hockey league, the owner (not sure if he still is or not) John had a dragster built at the shop, see if you can get ahold of him
