Local guys - Suggestions?

So here is my Dilemma,

I got the gauge overlay and want to install it, will be getting my new B&M short shifter in a week or so and still want to repaint my interior trim... (just not happy with the first go at it...)

that being said should I wait till it warms up (spring) to do the work or just get the **** I have installed and worry about painting it in the spring...

I mean I just really hate pulling apart the dash in the first place and its such a pain to get back together that I figured if I have to do it anyway to paint it - do i do it now or wait till its warmer outside...

Or does someone have a few moments on a weekend to give me a hand with de-constructing my dash on a weekend? (if you have soddering experience that would be helpfull as well).

Anyway thanks for the input.

PS: Any suggestions on what I should paint the trim? (see pic below - I used Hammer Head - its a paint that drys with a pattern to it - origionally but I'm not happy with how it turned out so any suggestions on other colors to try?)

"New" (2007) Painted interior:

All depends on what you are going to do with the exterior of the car, are you going to add any colors to the outside somewhere? If you are or have other colors then try and match it up inside to keep it clean looking. If you have nothing on the outside than I would maybe sudgest maybe a bronze metalic or something like that just not to flashy. If you need a hand with things PM me and I will help you out the best I can.

If your going with the red theme inside then paint the trim a dark blood red, I've seen some members paint there trim red but it turns out to bright and just looks like crap. Just a thought.

another thought here for ya, in the far right corner where the SS is is there anyway that you can cover it in a black spider web design (not to big) along with the blood red trim? Maybe not enough room??? I think it would look kind of cool covering the SS in the spider web but I'm not sure how it would look going from my head to reality

going with maleks idea, find someone who does vinyl and get them to do up a cool spider web and put some on the dash, dash trim and a little under, i think that would look cool, and definetly unique

sweet idea! if you do that keep it clean looking still or it will look to busy. There's so many options you can run off of the spider web design if you can find a good vinyl guy like outtamymind was saying, you could have a spider in red moving towards the web on the dash or glove box seeing as how the dash and glove box is black. You could also do a different color for the trim and then do a blood red spider web that starts at the ss badge as the center point and spans half up the dash and glove box. Again not to big or it will look bad, just big enough so that you can get someone to look twice when they walk by it in a parking lot and look in.

ya if you do the spider web idea only do one. that way its still awesome looking but doesn't take away from other things on the interior and still keeps it clean looking.

Cobalt addicts trim looks sweet in person! I saw it at the last meet and that color is pretty much perfect. If you need help I would ask him he did a good job on the trim and he obviously has experience doing it.

Awesome Ideas Guys ^_^

I took the SS badge off a while back and its now apart of my front bowtie giving it that little bit or Red accent in the front of the car... However here is what I was thinking and I'll throw it out there cause well I am by far no master of a spray paint can so I dont know how hard this would be...

Where the ss was get a vinyl of a sweet looking spider (see pic below).

on a gunmetal base coat with a red spider web design subtilely painted over top... leading away from the spider...

see cheap thrown together mock up below (couldnt photoshop the web to be red).

Thanks for the offer unfortunately I fly out to Saskatoon today till the 5th (have to go spend time with the girlfriend and her family... but when I'm back perhaps we can talk further - do you have access to a graphics person or way to make a vinyl overlay?

Just make some new panels out of fiberglass and use a gel coat.
That way, you never have to worry about the paint peeling or cracking!

Cool so with ur skills any input into how my idea might work? Is it possible to do graphics on the vinyl? And just wrap the whole thing? If so how much would it cost? I'd obviously want to compensate u for ur work.

Again though I'll be in Saskatoon till the 5th but will check in here if u want to reply or pm me and we can take this offline
