Novice TSD "Rally" Event Feb 17th
(link provided below with all info) Well now that I can post 100% wat the facts are I would like to invite anybody who has ever had an interest in Rally racing to join me and a number of other race enthusiasts for a 160km trek through Alberta. It is a mix of gravel and paved Alberta highways, none of which are specifically closed off for this "rally" and everyone is expected to obey the rules of the road as there might be local traffic within the given routes. The rally is to take place at night and pending temperatures and mother nature, the roads will be dry but not soft or muddy in the least. The event cost is $30 before Feb 13th and $35 after, there is a total of 25 spots available so if you plan on participating I'd get registered now. Suggestions are mudflaps and 3M tape if you've got the money to spend on it. No helmets or hans devices are needed as you are driving on public roads at posted speed limits. Since there is alot more to rally racing than just the driving they make event like this available to ppl who would like to consider getting fully into rally racing. You get a chance to learn the mapping and navigation side of things as well as alot of the general rules and regulations that are never fully learned but just reading or just watching it on TV. I know some will flame me for taking a brand new car on gravel roads but there is more to life than how "nice" your car looks, especially the undercarriage which really nobody ever sees.....
