she wants to race it, but if i slow the car down a bit to -hi 13's. , it will last her much longer without repairs. the new noise laws may force the removal of header/dp, and with that come afr and egt guage removal. the final configuration of the car is still up in the air, but i have so many parts for it, so we have options. over the next few moths, i will be teaching her to tune it. by the time she is 18, she will have total control over the car and its systems. right now she owns the car as a stage 2/corsa. i own the mods. it was in our contract. once i decide what is coming off the car, i will resell what i wont be re-using.
the car finally saw a bit of winter this year for the first time, and just hit 20,000 kms. 2000 kms on a fully forged motor. it shouldnt break.
she was getting us slurpees. she is already tired of ppl wanting her to streetrace,
i encourage her to purge a tad of naws, and roll away slowly lolol.

me either. i've had a racing itch for a few months now. what time do they start the racing. i know the gates open at 5 and i'm assuming racing starts at 7?

i'll be leaving work around 3:30-4 that friday should get there around 6 ish

 

ill be there but only for a race or 2 as i am getting a guy to cover part of my shift so i can see what my 1/4 mile time is ill be there around 430 i want to be one of the first to go lol

 

So I'm guessing April 30th? Kinda like to.. but my clutch is starting to slip quite a bit in the higher gears.. gotta wait a bit yet before I can replace it. Think it'd survive a couple blasts down the track or what? lol

 

you only use the lower 3 gears for racing lol

 

anyone need a set of slicks to get those top times?

 

I'm losing some power due to slipping clutch all over, but it's only really noticeable in 3rd and up gears.. and I use 4 gears in the 1/4 btw

 

hey if you are looking for a clutch at a really good price call western powertrain i got my clutch from them and it was only $470 the best price in the city for a stock replacement trust me i called every were

what size rims they for do they come on rims would they fit a lowered balt

 

Are you tuned? How many KM's on the clutch?

I've only had GMS1 for about a month now and I'm at 23,500km...the clutch still feels brand new for me though. You must have been a lot harder on your car than I have been on mine...I kinda baby it most of the time.

 

Stock clutch won't cut it when the torque goes above 345 which I am.. ppl said they smelled my clutch at the track last year lol.. guess thats why =p I'm not that hard on the car but it pulls pretty damn hard.. lights up the tires in 2nd gear just by stepping on it anywhere between 25 and 40 mph. Put the boost tubing in it last weekend and its stronger, but the clutch is slipping more lol.. i have an rpd and i can see the power drop at some point when it happens, even if it still feels like its grabbing good. Not too terrible in 2nd, but 3rd, I can't go full throttle at 40 mph or it sounds like the tires spinning, but its actually the clutch.. not noisewise I mean, but rpm wise.
And yes.. I am Hptuned. 11k miles, so about 17k kms.

I'll most likely be ordering a stage 4+ clutch from ZZP within the next month if all goes well.

Hmm.. well that Exedy is about $1k - $1.1k in the States!! I'm pretty sure it won't be cheaper here lol.. could check into it tho I suppose. ZZP's is around $750 UsD but we're on par now, so it's a good time to get auto parts!

Still pulled 2-3 cars on a GT/CS Mustang in about 4 seconds from 40-120 km/hr lol embarrassed him pretty badly and he thought he was all so big n bad, gonna beat up on a 4 cyl slowbalt!

any parts that dont sell, will be given to her for her 18th b-day. i think the naws will fit nicely in my camaro. looking for upwards of 700 hp. i would like to see mid 11's on street tires.
