Oh man.. reading over some of my older posts from last year after I bought the car... I knew so little about the LNF's! Haha makes me feel good that I have learned so much

Mike, sorry no. I dont know anyone who has sold a blue SS here in Edmonton, but there are quite a few SS's kicking around that are not part of the group yet. Hopefully you can track it down

KW doesn't make lowering springs for the cobalts. They just make coilovers for our cars. A jet maf sensor does exactly what the website says it does if you read up on it

Tjays car went back to stock somewhat. The kid who bought it last year spun a bearing and replaced it but nothing was ever heard after that

Hmm could be. It definitely has some work in it.. because its not a G85 package, yet it does put down 2 tire burn outs.. so she must have a LSD. I did purchase the car in Calgary but the car proof says it was purchased or registered in Edmonton.

Thanks Sylver, I'm kinda new to the modding world and cobalts. I'll do some more research on the jet maf sensor.

An open diff will spin both tires in a straight line most of the time. An LSD will spin both around corners where as the open diff will spin the inside tire around a corner.

Tjay's car had cobalt in letters across the middle of the trunk if I remember correctly

Makes sense, then I dont know if I have a LSD or not. Likely not tho.

The cobalt in letters isn't across the trunk. Dont think it's his car, this car doesn't have a built motor. Doesn't sound like a cam'd car from what I heard on youtube lol. Sounds.. like a normal car.

Make sure your tail light bulbs are plugged all the way into the housing. Mine popped out and was sitting on the housing and melted it and I didn't realize until the bulb actually cracked today. So now I need to a new tail light housing. Good thing it was on the bad side with the chipped lens.

If anyone finds a G5 at pick and pull with a good drivers side housing, ill pay cash for it plus a $20 finders few if you grab it for me.

Crash Murphy, do you sell Amsoil products? I ask because I only use 5w30 amsoil in my Cobalt.. wondering if it's any cheaper from you than the stores which are roughly $15/qt.

New to the group

Hi guys,

Saw the Edmonton chat on here and figured I'd say hi. I own a 2010 SS that is currently on jackstands getting some work done.

Turbo is currently out and getting replaced with a ZFR
ZZP charge pipes going in
ZZP single cat DP
Southbend stage 4 clutch (replacing flywheel, TOB, etc)
ZZP intercooler
stock airbox with modified air intake tube
PCM tuned for 93 octane...should put me close to the 400whp mark and I don't want to go much over it for my transmission's sake.

It is a fun winter project and should be real fun come spring. I'd prefer to have a lift, but this overhaul can be done with jackstands no problem.

I also have a carbon fiber front lip to put on so if anyone can suggest a place either in Edmonton or Leduc it would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't take pictures of the turbo tearout, but I will post pics of the clutch coming out and the new one going in, along with the ZFR install.

Well hello there.. go search for Edmonton Delta Tuners on Facebook and get an add.. we have at least 50 members and most people have moved on over to that site, and also Cobalt SS Gang Canada.. also facebook.

I have a ZFR as well and am local to Edm. I too need probably the same clutch that you're getting but I'm still on the stocker for now. It holds as long as it's above 4400rpm roughly. Who's doing your tuning out of curiosity? 400whp is easily attainable with a ZFR btw.
Hope you join the group and see you at some meets this year

ZZP reflashed my PCM with a tune. I am going to use that as a baseline right now and see how she runs.

The clutch is getting swapped this weekend along with installation of the ZFR and all the other goodies I bought. If all goes well with the swap and you need a hand with yours in the future I would be down for an install day.

I'm going to hop on FB right now and add the group.

Thanks!

Also, does anyone know of a place around Edmonton that will fit a carbon fiber lip onto an ss bumper? I have a carbon creations lip that needs to be fitted and am having a hell of a time finding anyone that will do it.

Are you also an LNF running a ZFR? Are you on EDT on Facebook or do you shy away from clubs? Just wondering... always good to have more onboard
