New clutch is finally in. Holy **** i hope this thing is abit easier to use once it breaks in. There is no "friction pont" with the ACT 6 puck, its on or off...lol. Going to break it in through the weekend and then during the week, finish off my tune and then hit castrol on friday the....oh ****....the 13th

 

Is there meets anywhere in Edmonton like 780 tuners ?

Just saw a really gross looking Balt on hwy 43 past mayerthorpe.

It's was flat orange, lowered, tinted, wingless, and had a body kit.

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone uses a hydro shield on their intake on the lsj to prevent water issues in the rain. Do those things work and is there somewhere in Edmonton/area to pick one up cheap?

 

ugh pretty sure you just described a car thats local to me (grande prairie), its a bone stock LSJ and its absolutely god awful. At least you don't have to see it once every couple days lol

 

never had one on my cobalt and i dont have one on my evo. The filter on my evo is in the same place as the lsj. I have never ran into issues without on. As long as you dont drive in 3ft rivers, you should be fine.

 

Anybody know what's going on at Castrol this long weekend? I was going to go to the street legals, but I don't see anything scheduled whatsoever ALL weekend.. Anybody know? and if the street legals are still a go, anybody else wanna meet up and go this Friday?

 

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't have to be rivers for me. I seem to be unable to boost past 4k rpms even if it's lightly raining. When I hit high rpm boost it cuts out and jerks the rpms around. It's so annoying.

 

Does that only happen when its raining? On a side note. I pulled the engine, transmission and tcase out of the Evo. Funny thing is i did it all in my apartment parking lot. Then brought everything on my patio and started ripping the engine apart.

 

Yep, only when raining. When it's dry out I never have a problem. So far I just accept the fact that I have to shift early in rain.

 

thats weird, i never had that issue in my ss/sc and never had the issue with the evo. The filter is abit more exposed since the Evo has slots for brake cooling in the front fender liner. Which flicks alot of water/dirt at the filter.

 

Someone buy my catless downpipe. Don't need it anymore since I pick up my STI in September.

Does anyone know of any public land where i can legally shoot my rifle. I picked up a Remington 700 lapua .338 and once i get back from the field ill be getting a scope for it. My plan was to shoot at a distance of 1000 meters but the long range we have is 600 meters and thats on the base. Apparently the base gun club is gay and rarely go out there. Depending on the distance ill be limited to, will determine what scope i get. Obviously im not going to get one that is $1000 and has a high power when a $500 scope that is 10x40mm will do at 300-600 meters.

 

As most probably already know.. a bunch of Alberta Cobalt guys are going to Castrol on Friday, Sept. 7th.. I will be going 100% for sure (unless my car dies before then ) I even got new front tires! :P Hoping for some traction
