Official Race City Meet picture thread
Post your pics. Great turnout--we had 3 red S/C, 2 yellow S/C, 1 black and myself. And the ION RL
Some of my pics aren't great so feel free to add yours. Have to get more people racing next time though.
Just figured out the density altitude and it was a very good night for drag racing---3744 feet
Nice to meet you people....names I cannot remember...except Pascal...thats one I won't forget!

I got staged wrong into the water bax from what people on the line told me. And without and LSD, only my left tire spun during my burnout (usually they both do if im set in the water correctly). So when I launched from the tree, Only me left tire caught traction , so all my power go sent to it and made a big snap. Couldnt go anywhere after that.
Had to get towed home.
I am not surprised though. I only launched at around 3000 rpm, but it was all on the left tire. I guess time to upgrade to a quaiffe and get some better shafts. Ill get pics of the damage up as soon as i can.

I was only able to get one decent run in before I snapped the driveshaft.
My very first run on slicks.... 14.09 @ 101.22 mph
Thats was early shifting into second (bogged second) and Hitting the limiter in 2nd as I shifted to 3rd.
It felt like a bad run to me so I know it was capable of alot more. I think I could have knocked it down to a 13.7 lastnight but I didnt get the chance. I had a 7/8 full tank of gas too.

yeah they are quite a bit bigger than stock overall diameter. Thats what I was figuring dropped my mph so much. They are 26 inches tall, 9.5 wide.
They really felt to have bogged when i shifted into second as well. (granny shifted). I wanted to wait untill i had a decent launch before i tried powershifting... otherwise, whats the point of powershifting and stressing the car if i have a bad launch and a garunteed low time.
I wont run the slicks again untill i have the LSD and racing drive shafts installed.
A big thanks to Rod ( Victory Red SS) to mailing me out the stock shafts to get me on the road again.!!!

Cody.... See how much better it would have been if you would have gotten the LSD from the get go like me!? That really sucks though.. I know you ordered it! And hey.. it's really nice of Rod to send you shafts! Hopefully I'll see you around soon.. call me sometime this week and we could maybe get together unless you're going back north! We should try to set up another meet for next week....
