Severe weather in Alberta today

Just a big "be careful" out there today. Right now in Calgary there is one kick ass storm happening, and I have been watching the weather network and a lot of other places in Alberta are having them too.

Don't want to see anyone getting hurt out driving in this weather.

14th Street North at 16th Ave and SAIT heading north bound is closed. The road LIFTED in places because of the extreme amount of water. Also 10th Ave heading North out of Kensington has bricks in the right lane that came all the way down the hill with the water too.

And LOTS of cars stalled out everywhere because they tried to drive through the deep puddles.

And Deerfoot at 32nd is still closed apparently as well. And at 52nd SW it is closed too.

driving down crowchild southbound last night I had to drive through 2 puddles that went over the hood of my car. She is not happy with me today.

The coolest was watching the water rescue on Glenmore under Macleod Trail!

When I was out last night after the storm, I noticed that a lot of the stalled vehicles from the water were Dodge's. Lots of Rams, and minivans. There was also a Mercedes underneath 9th Ave SW and 14th St SW.

Is that a shot at my "neon"? hehe. I was really surprised that I didn't "die"... saw several cobalts and skylines and cavilers.

hey today we had a couple of ss/sc's towed in because they decided to go diving in some puddles, seriously screwed their motors and now they have to go through insurance if they can't afford the repair bills...that sucks...so all of you guys still be careful unless you can afford the bills.
