saab340, continental discountinued use of beechcraft, at least down in Texas, we did pick up the dash-8 q400 as you may have already heard about. co 3407, the captain was a friend of mine

Damn, that is some fine looking welds
I can barely turn the damn thing on, if I am lucky I can make 2 pieces stick together....never pretty though.

Sorry to hear that, sad to loose people you know that way.

Been lucky where I am, a few bent birds but no lost souls in our co for at least 10 years.
This is the worst we had since I have been with the co, few people shook up, 1 broken leg.

Sent a crew down and got her "fixed" enough to fly home for proper repairs.

yeah i know, so many people called "in" to go to his funeral. he had been based her at my station for about 8 months after moving her from houston, but had upgraded to fly the Q400 up north
