How does a blown trany relate to the axles? The clutch doesnt matter it says in the manual that the clutch is not covered anyway.
its a matter of the weakest link actually see with the stock axles they are the weakest link now when you upgrade them the stress has to go to the next weakest point which the tranny is one of the many parts down the list.
Well I heard that the clutch is supposed to be the next one. But thats not covered anyway the manual says the cutch is the same as tires when it comes to warranty. I wonder however how much the tranys are meant to handle I know the getrages are good for 300 or 400 something like that but someone told me we have a different one in the SC's a Saab one witch is rated higher.
i could spend days trying to explain that to you. i've tried explaining it to the best of my knowledge if you want more info on it then search for a forum on the axles and ask them maybe some one else will be able to explain it better.
all i can add is that when they test the tranny's its in a controlled environment to get those results. now in real life situations there is more then just wheel torque affecting your driveline. now when you relieve stress off of one component, another component gets more stress down the chain, your tranny is down the chain. im not saying it will do anything but it is a possibility that something might happen to it given the right circumstances. hell you could in theory bust a tranny mount or even engine mount given the right circumstances.

Yea I hear ya. The trany has not really been tested to handle the same amount of torque that the new axles have been tested for. Thus once the axles are out of the loop then the next weakest link is the clutch or the trany.
