Still a work in progress... started sanding down my mags to paint....
Left is sanded right is stock


First coat is one, going to wet sand smoothe and add another coat of black followed by some clear.







flat black with clear coat to give some shine on the hard edges. "photochop"

 

ugh i hate you...i wanna do this but im too lazy..

 

those are gonna look sick dude.

 

took about 30 minutes to take 95% of the paint off with a die grinder with a flapper stly e wheel on it. i will do the corners by hand.

its sad when you go to a cobalt meet and you have to chain your mags to your control arms so the cobalt guys dont take them.... lol

 

looks good, are you epoxy primein them? or eitchprimeing and fill primeing?

 

the most impressive thing about this thread is the photochop, im amazed it looks flawless.

lol, I have photochops these wheel on 10 deffernt picture sin differnt lighting condition to make sure ti looked good.

and I am fill priming them after they were stripped. primer is holding great. light 1000 grit then paint. then 1000grit wet sand tomorrow night

 

i would etch prime them befoe fill primer, not sayin you don't know what your doin but i'm a painter for a livein, etch primer helps for corrosion and adheasion

 

damn, lol A little late. thats okay. I am putting a thicker paint for mags on top and then clear coat and the primer held good so it should be okay...

 

as long as you don't get a big chip it should be good to go
