Went to the track tonght
So i went to the track tonight with my slow cobalt
Started off with some great 15+ second runs (no seriously) i had major jitters
After i got my nerves down i started running some 14.0XX's and then the ththe newe best run of the night
13.903@103.18
I was so happy with my run, and all runs were done with my crappy stock tires, i have some new yokohamas going on next week so i can wait to go back.
So now i understand the need for speed so there will be a few more things ordered over the next month
my dirty but newly debadged trunk
the 14.0XX slips with the 13.9
and the one that counts
For those not in Alberta, Castrol park is approx 2200 ft above sea lvl so i am really happy with the times

Yeah man, that was awesome... for the record, Car 1298 on Jame's 13 second run is me.
It was my first time ever and I had alot to learn in the first night...I started off in the 16's and got progressively better times as the night drew on. My best I ran a 15.14@ 96.32 MPH... not bad for a first timer, and I know the car has more in her, just have to get more expirenced.
things I learned were how to successfully launch the car, avoiding the most wheelspin and wheelhop (I need a torque brace REAL bad.)
Adjusted the tire pressure from about 50 to 25 after the first 3 runs.
After the first few runs, I was told to ease out of the clutch and then step on it in first at around 40km/h, much better results and pretty much eliminated the wheelspin, minimal wheelhop.
there was one run I was sure was going to be the high 14 second run I was looking for... I didn't let the tranny cool down enough and missed second.
Practice makes perfect.
