Winter Steel Wheels, where to buy in Calgary

Does any one who owns a SS/SC know where I could pick up a set of winter rims and tires for my car. If you bought some could you tell me what size and possibly the cost for said rims and tires and where you purchased them from. I'v gone to a few places, even CMP classic here in town and they could not tell me.

Thanks and Cheers for any replies

I'm from Red Deer so I bought mine here. Although I bought them from Kal-Tire, so I'd imagine you could get them there in Calgary as well. I bought them under my dad's account (he buys alot from them) so I dont know if I got any special deal or not, but here's what I payed...
Oh and I bought some real expensive ones, best on the market apparently lol...

4x rims 16x6-1/2 5om110 $113 ea = $455.08
4x rubber 205/55R16 XL Nokian RSI 94R $218.45 = $873.80
-----------
Total = $1328.88 + GST

I love the tires! Amazing grip in the winter, I have no complaints.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Bigrroberto. I will check out Kal-tire here in calgary.

Hey I was just on 1010tire.com and if you go with a 205/60R/16 your speedometer will onle be out by 0.02% compared to being 2.7% out on your setup.

Just a thought for next time you buy tires.

Cheers Mate

On the bright side the ticket you might get will be smaller. I know I have a hard time keepin my foot off the floor.

I also went to Kal-tire and they quoted me around $1300 also. looks like that price might be par for the cource.

Yep... Flyin down Bedington trail, pass Babylon = no ticket. Hmm... Must uh flew by him when he was sippin a cofee an eatin a doughnut.

Kills = One cop interceptor eatin a doughnut. LOL

Hey, nice car and I like the polished rims. Was going to by a 2007 SS/SC but found the 2006 in Airdrie with only 19000 km and most of the mods done already (lucked out). Paid 1000 CAD for Every 1000 km. Done any mods yet?

Went to CMP (Calgary Motor Products). Got some chips in my gun metals and of cource when it concerns a warrenty claim they went over the car with a fine tooth comb and came up with sorry but we won't warrenty this as it is just rock chip ware. Thought I might be able to get some new skin colour on them rims but no dice.

Cheers

HAHAHA that's awesome! Yeah I lived in Calgary for a few years and I've accidentally done that a few times when I had my truck... I always wondered why I never got a ticket. LoL

And about my car... thanks! Ya I like the shiny rims, bling, bling haha.

No mods yet... Although I have a list:
- Ingalls TD
- Injen CAI
- DC Sports Strut Bar
- Stage 2 kit & 2.8 pulley
- CAT Back Exhaust (not sure which one yet)

I have to do alot of reading to do though as, really, I know nothing about modding a car

Hahah

-Peace

I keep going to CMP cause I work in that part of town. Don't know if I like there service so maybe it's time to try out a new dealer.

Cheers and keep in touch.

Actually the other day I was comin home from work and a cop stopped me. I start thinking to myself... WTF lights workin, speed limit observed and I didn't cut him off. So obaying the law I pull over. Turns out the only reason he stopped me was his son just turned 18 and wanted to buy a SS/SC. So we sat on the side of the road (his lights flashin, my lights flashin) people passin slowin down to see the punk gettin a ticket (you know the ol' crain your neck to see whats going on) needless did they know we were having a great time laughin about this the cops son and how there was know way he was going to buy him a Cobalt and said his son will have to settle for a Kia. LOL

i know its not to helpful for the area, but i thought the prices should be the same within the company.....I bought from the Kal-tire in Leduc,
they are 16 inch, 5X110 wheels

and the tires are 205/16/65

Dont let people tell you to get 55's or 60's
65 is the closest tire to stock.
