Looked into it a little more, the easiest way to tell if is a weigh station cam (around NS anyway) is you will see pads in the pavement that actually weigh the trucks at highway speeds, its called WIM (weigh in motion).
Unless things have changed recently, NS does not use red light cameras or speed cameras for issuing tickets. Ticket-able traffic violations have to be witness by an officer.

theres no need for you to say the **** you do on here to people.
im sure if you had a drivers license and you had a car you would speed to, everyone does it at some point, some get caught some dont.
but yea Dezzie your fine no cop scanner on the number 7 that i know of.

i went thru the speed radar one giving it the middle finger and it flashed on me and took a pic lol.
i know theres a redlight cam at the last intersection on duke street before it turns into glendale in the dirty sack
If its the one Im thinking of, its not a speed camera. Its a image recognition camera that detects trucks, when it does detect a big rig it triggers a sign that tells them to go to the weigh station for weighing. BB Trapster gets all its information from users, I've had it for a while but found it to be ridiculously inaccurate, people tagging anything and everything they see as a "speed trap".

I know what camera you are talking about, but its not a red light cam.. Its on top of the street light looking straight at the direction cars are coming at. It couldn't issue you a ticket even if it was a red light cam it couldn't see your license plate.
There are A LOT of cameras placed on top of intersections in HRM area that are used for traffic purposes. i.e. changing the lights at night etc... a image detection camera is much more effective than a light sensor and cheaper than a weight sensor in the pavement to detect a car sitting at the light at night.
If you still feel the need to rebel against the "man" by giving Weigh in Motion cameras and traffic cams the finger, buy all means be my guest.
