Hey NS! Where do you backroad/Pleasure drive?

Title says it all!

share you favourite routes/backroads for pleasure driving!

and no cabot trail/waverley/peggys cove/valley look-off (we all know about those!)

Post a road or a loop/circuit, prefably one with decent pavement and low traffic, for those long slow sunday drives, or those late night 3 AM "fun nights"

some of my personal favs

1) After 12am-3am+: looping the 102 from the joeseph howe exit/onramp to the bedford commons exit/offramp stay in the right lane and do 80-90 and wait for the mid-life crisis muslce car guys or the fartcan hondas to pass/honk for pulls. and who doesnt love going WOT on the Joe how onramp

2) Daytime or night. Fox point loop. Its out by hubbards/peggys cove way, and alot quieter / less trafic / less tourists. nice for listening to tunes and cruisin on a lazy sunday. or fun in the turns ! (be careful for some of the blind crests/blind turns. take the 103 when your heading out for those ever so fun single lane highway sections with occasional passing lanes and take the coastal/scenic st margarets road back tantallon

3) Ostrea rd/jeddore west loop. Fun loop at day or night, watch for deers at night though!

3) the 101 at 5am-6am (dusk/sunrise on weekends), from sackville to windsor. nice to have basically a flat 2 lane runway all to your self

4) day/night Springhill --> Lynn --> maple ---> wyvren, great in the fall/spring lots of colorful trees, nice hills, and great views

and of course.... you can park in any gas-station near sackville/waverley and wait 10-15 minutes with your windows down after midnight and i guaruntee you that you'll find a fart can honda to hunt down for a pull

Where do you waste your gas at?

You really wearnt kidding! I just did it yesterday, fanstastic route my friend, me and the lady loved it! feel like i need to buy you a beer!

I need to drive it again, i held back on temptation sometimes around some of the tight turns, i was very tempted to burn rubber in 2nd, but i was unfamilair with the traffic/road.. played it lazy and most of the route. I touged with a harley as well, fun day man, thanks for the tip!

Italy in Nova Scotia anyone???

Wow that's beautiful. I don't usually venture out of the city, Dartmouth/cole harbour is full of race cars to play with haha

You should dude, playing with cars on public roads isn't really racing :P and besides that, it usually a 5-10 second adrenaline high max.

Highly recommend you take an afternoon and drive out of hrm, pleasure driving can put you in a nice peaceful frame of mind for hours, just you, your car, and the road. Even 1am- 4am cruising around Halifax is peaceful.

@Daddy

I love mahone bay, gotta love the 3 different churches all across the street from each other right as you enter town! Ever go there around Christmas? They all dress up 6 foot tall Santa mannequins in like every store/doorway/street corner! They are kinda creepy!
