well, as I thought it was so blatently rude of the moderator DC52NV to Lock the thread here in the canada north east region started by kevin, one of the local members, I figured I'd start another complaining about that! it seemed to me that kevin was just trying to start a discussion about how the rules concerning the posting of items for sale in the regional forum can be interpreted. instead, the above mentioned mod seemed to take it as a personal attack, and decided to Thread/..........

wow!

now I can only imagine that THIS thread is going to be locked as well for speaking my mind, but comeon people! to simply lock a thread because you don't like it????
and personally, I don't really see the problem with posting in the local forum (especially a smaller one like this one) if you have something to offer for sale to some of the local people. this is just my .02 and hopefully someone will get to read this before it gets locked too!!

i contacted that mod the other day when he did it, and i read the site rules no where inthe rules does it say we can not post for sale ads in our section.
90% of the people here in the maritimes dont go outside this section. so when we want to keep our sales local why the hell can't we post it here.
the mod told me that he was ordered to lock the post that both greg and kevin made.
i guess if we fight it long enough the admin will let us have our own way and leave us alone with it.

I understand about how you guys in the states go to the new posts section or whatever, but you got to remember, the people here in nova scotia, dont do that, we all come right to this section, and a few of us will go into the supporting vendors, and the motor sections.
not very often you see people from nova scotia posting anywhere else but here.

Also, the forum is divided into sections for a reason, and ALL private For Sale threads belong in the Classified section of the forum. If you want to sell something local, or aren't willing to ship to the U.S., just say so in your thread, if people can't read it's there fault and you don't have to reply to them.
