Why do you hate them?
i stumped so many people yesterday when they told me they hate them, no one had a reason to..
i know when i was younger i loved to go hunt for snakes and then as i got older and didnt do it no more i was creeped out by snakes lol untill oneday i was at the pet store and asked if i could see the snakes they said sure and let me hold a python that was alot bigger then mine and from then on i was like i want one bad!
my dad is scared shitless of them and hes gotten over his fear of it and has had it aroundhis neck on his arm and everything

i wanted one for a long long time as well and now i fnnaly got one.
right now as a baby you feed him once a week, right now hes feeding on rat pinkies, and prob about a months time he will be feeding off adult mice.

not yet, i only had him sense saturday, your suppose to wait a week before you feed them when they come to a new home so they are not longer stressed.
i just found out that i shouldnt be handeling him as much as i have been.. sense he just moved.

i dont have my dog no more.
my mom took it

Today i went with a gut feeling that Sam was comfterble in his new surounding and he was hungry so i went to the pet store with a photo of him looking for a pinkie to feed him. when feeding a snake you have the choice to feed him either alive or dead i picked alive to see if i could handel it, so yea i went to get a pinkie they said they have none that are alive they are all frozen so i said no never mind, i showed the snake guy a photo of Sam and he said he should be able to take a small adult mouse so thats what i tried.
now i tell you what i was right about him being hungry! i laid sam in the tub and got the mouse out put it in the tub too sam watched it for about 30 seconds and then attacked, when he attacked it was so fast and so sudden it scared the **** out of me so i was unable to get a pic but heres pics of him feeding

I also went out and bought a new infered light today the 50 watt one wasnt getting the home hot enough, a snake nees the temp to be at 90 degrees rightnow its at 80 degrees on the hot side and the cold side is at 70 degrees

Snakes are by far the coolest pet ever!
people who are affraid of them i highly recomend going to a pet store and ask them if their python or boas are friendly and if they say yes ask to hold one, and you will get over your fear i promise you!

sweet. I love all animals EXCEPT for insects. Insects are just ******* annoying. I do derive enjoyment out of squishing them though

No ***** are not always friendly.
you will occassonaly get the mean one but if you can deal with it stricking at you you can turn that ball friendly as well.
but when they do bite they dont bite you so you bleed. witch is good i guess.
but 90% of the pythons you will come across are friendly and i dont mean just Ball Pythons, i mean Bloods, Burmese, Green, and so on.

Mine is 90x45x45 thats cms i think its about 45-55 gallons, i dont think the 90 gallon was much bigger.
but when it comes to buying a terrarium what the best recommend is take the snakes overall length and devide that in half and thats the size tank you need. like ***** grow to 5-6 feet so get a 3ft ong tank.
my tank was one sale for 229.75 CND
all said and done for everything was $450CND and your very right about being low maintance.
the beding you only need to change 2 times ayear if that. all you gotta do is clean their poop up. change the UVB light every 6 months, change the infered light when the light burns out, change their water once a week, and feed them once a week.

my buddy told me about him getting bitten by his burmesse because the sent of rabbit was on his fingers and the snake went took his fingers and wraped its body aroundhis arm and sholder almost brakin his sholder took 3 people to get the snake off him, but then again his was 12' long lol

oh and for the guy looking to get a snake visit www.exo-terra.com and you can buy pretty much everything right there!

I remember when i was in the field of Suffield doing range clean up. We found 2 huge rattle snakes...boys were pissing it off to hear the rattle and it started crawling to where we were about to start a fire and it burnt its rattle...fun times.

Nice snake. I have a feeling that there are going to be stricter laws when it comes to exotic animals. With the recent chimp attack i for see it happening sooner than later.
