has anyone been nabbed by the HRM or rcmp with front window tint and if not how dark are urs i had it done till i got told to take it off and wanna get it done again

 

why would u get it done again if u were already told to take it off. Your just going to get caught and told to take it off again, sooner or later the cops are going to tow your car, u keep getting warnings for speeding/racing and tint and u keep doing it, eventually the cops will reconize you and finally stop giving you warnings.

 

Yes by the RCMP and I was given a notice to report to a RCMP detachment with in 24 hours and show that the tint was taken off of the front windows. or the ticket for a $150 fine would go through. This happened in 2004 when I had a 2002 Caviler Z24

 

My front windows are done in 20% and I've been threw a few spot checks and haven't had any trouble. Who tinted your windows dezzie?

i had mine done and got nailed and i think i had 35 on mine cuz it was pretty light and it only lasted not even a month

 

I got busted a week after and dit read 14%

 

That sucks guys, ive had mine done sense January and nothing, Scotia Tint did mine. Now tonight ill go for a drive and get busted haha

 

This is probably one and the only reason i love Edmonton, 5% all the way around on the balt and the Z and never got pulled over. Even had my car at a car show and the police were there and asked me question about the car.

 

I had 35% front and rear, made it 2 1/2 years before the cumberland dispatch of the R.C.M.P. got me as I was leaving my driveway, because I lived on highway, they always seen my car parked in the driveway, and had to wait to catch me driving.

How big of a town/city do you live in and how original is your car in that area? I've seen ppl's cars look close to mine but clearly not. But to a passing cop it might as well be a modded civic. 35% is legal here but I have 20% and never been bugged about it For all 4 1/2 years I've had the tint. I say if your car isn't a really STAND OUT car put the tint back on.

 

i got nailed as well i had 35% $225 fine

 

my 13% tint lasted over 2 years

 

They Yanked me over last year August 9th. Windows were down, moon roof was open. They knew what they were pulling me over for. lol. Otherwise they would have had no idea I had tint on because all the windows were down. Reasoing for remembering the date so well, is that it was my birthday.lol

 

my limo tint all around lasted until this winter when i had to start driving my girlfriend around all the time and was just asking for trouble.i took it off, never got caught. going to re- tint i think because the bright sun is hard on things in the car.
