In previous years has been as big as up to 65 Cobalts, G5s, Ions & HHRs from as far as Newfoundland to BC, coast to coast!

Lets make this the largest Delta Body Meet in meet history!

Current attendance according to http://www.WesternCobaltMeet.com pins at 40 registered drivers PLUS their guests! No need to register anymore, although would be great for helping sign on sponsors for awards, posting on the various car clubs to say your attending will be fine as well.

Time line is as follows:

Friday:
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM - Check-in for Mission Raceway (only crucial to meet this deadline ONLY IF you are racing... otherwise, okay to show anytime).
5:30 PM - 10:30 PM - Friday Night Street Legals
Rest of the night... just drink, meet, greet, enjoy!

Saturday:
9:30 AM - WAKE UP CALL! Be ready for 10:00 AM
10:00 AM - Assemble/Get Ready & Take off for day trip to Whistler/nice drive... see Olympic sites around Vancouver/etc..
1:30 PM - Arrival in Whistler, explore, enjoy, etc!
3:30 PM - Enjoy lunch at Old Spaghetti Factory in Whistler
5:00ish PM - Leave Whistler and head to Richmond for Go Karting
7:30 PM - Arrive at Go Karting & enjoy high speed go karts!
8:30 PM - Leave Go Karting & Head back to Mission for Mission Springs Pub/Brewery/Restaurant
9:30 PM - Arrive at Mission Springs
12:00-1:00 - AM'ish head back to track for camping

Sunday:
10:00 AM - WAKE UP CALL!
11:00 AM - Awards/Presentation/Prizes
1:00 PM - End of meet/disbursement

Western Canadian Cobalt Meet 2010 will be held at Mission Raceway Park located in Mission, British Columbia, Canada.

Fees/Cost:

The rate chart is as follows:

Full Weekend = FNSL + CMPNG + GUEST = $75.00
Driver Only = FNSL + CMPNG = $65.00
Camp Only = CMPNG = $30.00
Extra Guests = GUEST = $10.00
FNSL Only (nothing else) = Register at the track $35.00
Weekend spectating is only included with Camping at the track.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Saturday Night activity will be indoor Go Kart Racing on fast 60 km/h go-karts... 3 rounds for $40.00 Optional of course... if you aren't going to race at least come watch! Saturday day time is cruise out to Whistler... hopefully not everyone will be too hung over haha. Should Go Karts be too full or unavailable, we can switch that to Laser Tag in Langley which is a massive 3 story course.

FNSL = Friday Night Street Legals
CMPNG = Camping all weekend Friday - Sunday (Includes spectating for the weekend for FNSL & Bracket Racing full weekend) for car & driver.
GUEST = Guest (Includes camping with driver's vehicle & spectator all weekend for FNSL & Bracket Racing full weekend)

What an awesome time to be pulling 18 hour shifts. If I even get a minute I will have to stop by being only 10 minutes away.

 

i wont know until like a day or two in advance if i can make it, i know i can for atleast one of the days. Which? who knows, its an on call job lol

I doubt this would happen but if I can get 12 locals to prepay for 3 races at go karts (one will be me, one will be ash, another probably caddiondubs & whitefiver) we can get a better go kart rates & we will also have the track reserved to ourselves... any one wanna prepay on go karts $40 and I'll refund the difference when I get the better rate?

If not, hopefully, if track isn't already full of people, we can get in there, if not we'll have to look into something else... I'd need to have a deposit before 2 days before we book in and they'll reserve it... otherwise we can try drop-in. Darren & Penguin pie, if you guys prepay that would work it down to 6 more people needing to prepay at least. actually come to think of it... as long as I put together the money for 5 people prepaying I can meet his deposit requirement...

 

Like i said, i got no idea if i'll be working or not that day. Is it completely refundable? Like i prepay $40 but cant make it there, do i get my money back?

If so, i will prepay for the go karts

 

if someone took your spot lol. what time do you typically work until??? wait your working back at cp rail again or lordco? i'm confused.

 

Man I wish I could go but I'm not going to pass up a weeks holiday wakeboarding and Corona drinking in Osoyoos for anything. Sorry!!

I can make a trip into town on my way into Richmond to prepay... I'd probably do that this upcoming Sunday or something...

so thats 2... me & ash would make 4... I'll find out from Brad & Nathaniel tonight... with that should be enough to reach deposit... then I just need to ensure of 6 more people who would be going then we would get a cheaper rate (probably $5 or $10 off or something) also the track would be guaranteed reserved for us...

Penguin Pie.. how fast can you be there if you're off at 7? I'll make sure to book as soon as you can be there (i.e. 7:15/7:30/etc..)

I get off at aberdeen center at NCIX, so if all things go well I should be able to get there in 15mins, I think the 7:30 session would be good
