Mission Street Legals Friday August 26
The August 26th street legals are the last of the street legals that go until 11. In Sept the burn out competitions start in the evenings due to dew point. So how about we get a good turn out since I'm giving some pretty good notice this time! We had fun with just 3 last time. Lets have more fun with a better turn out!

Count me in! I haven't taken my girl on the track yet. But she is ready to go! She begs me to launch her at every red light...LOL! I do take on my bf's SSTC every couple of days and smoke him so I have been able to keep my girl satisfied till we hit the track!
Is there anything else I need to do to prep to do other than emptying my antifreeze?

You can read up on it here.

I can't go because I have a bad windshield.

Just make sure you wear closed toe shoes (runners are best), long pants, and at least a t-shirt.
That was me in the white balt.

Thanks Lino. I did read up on that last night and figured out I didn't need to drain. A couple more questions from the rookie racer... I am pretty sure I need to wear a helmet since my car is supposed to do better than 13.99 but I have not tested it to be sure. Do you wear one? And what class do they put our cars in?
Thanks
Thanks
We can be classes as domestic or sport compact, but I've always gone into sport compact.

I just saw that The "Great Canadian VW show" is in Langley this weekend and they are having their drag night that night. They are going to have their own class and everything so this might cut down your passes massively. Just a heads up.

My best run so far is 14.088 at 100mph after 20+ runs. I doubt you'll be able to run faster then 13.9 your first time out. It is a good idea if you have the money/access to one cause if you do you'll need it plus if you want to bring a passenger down the track they have to wear one.

Hey just because you cant drive, doesnt mean she can't either A tuned TC is good for mid 13's easily if you can launch it. I will probably be there friday, i work until 6 or so, plenty of time. Wont be racing the truck, already got my baseline runs, may do a run later before the season ends if i get my intake in time. But i will make a point of bringing my camera and try to get some videos of you guys running.
