New member from Surrey with Black SS/TC
Hi everyone. I purchased my 2009 black on black Cobalt SS/TC back in the end of October. It has every option except for the high rise wing as I like to lookout of my back window. I've only put on 4000 kms since I bought it as I also have a 2001 Ford Explorer V8 that I drive on the bad days.
I searched everywhere in Western Canada when I was looking for mine as there was only a yellow one in Langley and the black one available in BC and was told there are no more coming. The yellow one got shipped out to the Okanagan or Alberta when I went back and I didn't know there was any left until the next day when I drove by Dueck on Marine and there was the black one. Well I wanted black anyways so I guess I lucked out. When I bought it the sales man checked GM stock and the only one left was in Saskatchewan. (Perfect timing!)
My only complaint is that I wish the turbo timer display on the pillar could show the boost in psi while the dash shows everything in kilometers.
I will post pics soon and hope to see you guys around the streets. Honk when you see a new black SS/TC in Surrey/White Rock/Langley/Delta area. I work on Annacis and drive to Guildford area everyday except when my wifes metallic blue 2001 Cavalier Z24 is having work done. (I think her car was built on a Monday or Friday!)

Welcome! You can get a psi gauge it's a simple swap just be smart about it and get from crate engine depot and not the dealer like me for $160. and get a tune! You'll absolutley be amazed at the change.
Congrats on the purchase!
Chances are you can get an imperial boost gauge off ebay - I do not thing they are LNF/LSJ specific ~ they can be had pretty cheap on eBay.
If you decide to buy new, I just bought my stage1 from Crate Engine Depot - they were a breeze to deal with ~ I highly recommend.
EDIT:
screw buying used!!
CED - that's cheap!!

I have the multi purpose digital digital display on the pillar that shows the G-force, cam phase, torque, and horsepower so it's not as simple as to just buy and ad a new Autometer boost gauge is it or is there something I can ad to mine?
Oh!!
I didn't know you meant that you had the "Reconfigurable Performance Display" ~ so do I!!
Love it or leave it, you're stuck with being either imperial or metric.
The first thing I did was change my car to imperial so that it read PSI - none of this KPA crap...
Then again all but one of my cars has imperial gauges - so this change isn't a big deal to me...
My qualm with the RPD is that is doesn't read vacuum - but when changing gauge face appearance it teases you by showing a boost gauge with vacuum readings... that's my only qualm.
The RPD was only installed in somethign like 645 2009 Cobalt's - so that puts us in a rather small crowd;
The other night I showed my RPD to some of the locals who had never seen one before.

Well I guess I can live with the display showing KPA instead of PSI and I am glad to hear that there was only that many in 09' with these. Makes it a little rarer car with that option. Does anyone have production numbers for these cars for 2009 as I heard there were only 968 black SS/TC's made that year?
