Stage 5 Supercharger Project Complete
Hello Everyone<
Thanks to everyone who commented on my first posting on this project and offered many great suggestions. I picked up my car from the shop today and holy crap, I can't beleive the power increase. I am officially at 253 Hp and I love it! Just to remind everyone the stage 5 kit for the supercharger came from Intense Racing. I also got the LSJ dual pass intercooler end plate and the intercooler reservior upgrade from them as well. They even included a high quality Intense emblem in chrome. I called them several times and spoke with Chris and these guys are a great help and very knowlegable. Also included was a base map sent via email. Visit the website to see what is included in the stage 5 kit. I also had installed a pacesetter (ceramic) header that was supplied by the installer at a great price.
The last part was the most important which was the dyno and an HP tune done by very skilled techs
I will now tell you the shop and will say that I deal with many contractors in my line of business and these guys are total professionals at Evolution Auto Performance #509 20170 Stewart Crescent Maple Ridge BC. V2X-0T4 Ph# 604-460-7969. Ask for Kevin and I can assure you they can meet all your Cobalt needs. I will be filming with my go pro this weekend and will post the videos early next week.
Still waiting for my Interceptor Guage.....

I would assume that is to the wheels. Fwd cars don't lose as much power to the wheels compared to a RWD car. It takes more power to turn the shaft. I'm surprised though that it's only at 253. Myabe it's because he is running it safely, but i was thinking the low 300hp range maybe if he really wanted to put out it could get near 400. But i haven't really seen this kit so I don't exactly know what the numbers are. It does sound like he'll be having a lot of fun driving. Best place to take that baby is straight down Dewdney Trunk road all the way into the stave lake area, Lots of real nice rolling hills and soft bends, plus the nice forestry surroundings. I was driving out there a few weeks ago and I realized how nice the road is there. I couldn't help but give the car a bit of a workout in and out of the turns and hills.

I was also a bit surprised but I think the kit says about 70 Hp with the stage 5 kit and I did go with that kit but with the 2.7 belt and not the 2.5 one. It sure feels like alot more power! I was cruising along in second at about 4000 Rpm and punched it and the tires broke lose....and getting alot of lateral pull again.

by the way i recommend staying on cobalt ss.net and not being so proud about your purchases and etc on other sites, revscene is pretty rough against domestics/ subcompact domestics...they're all civic / import fan boys and think their civic is THEFKINGBOMBOMGBBQ!!!! so unless you got some thick skin and don't take their ******* comments too hard then u'll be fine..i just go for certain funny comedy inducing threads

I think I will take your advis Eurochevy..........Rev is not for me. I have added a album with some pics from today called Intense Upgade for thos who want to see. I also added a pic of my Intense sticker/emblem. The car goes back in for some exhausr work tomorrow morning as I have two leaks, one from downpipe to my Ark system and one a the header yoke. Then will be perfect. Let me know what you think.
