140mph on ocean parkway!!! at 12am stock

 

yeah ive done that before.. even when my cat was clogged and my car boosted 19+ pounds on the stage 2 tunes i did 140 in 5th taking my x's friend's home. at only 5600 RPM.. when the IRL was running right i would honestly bet 160 or alittle more.. cause i literally hit fuel cut in 5th once or twice 7k RPMS. never ONCE felt unstable

 

and people wonder why their engines blow.

I've had my SS/SC up to 245 kph and still going-ran out of road though

 

 

Stock, it would take a 1/2 hour to get there...and we have a limiter at 130 because of the tires we have.

 

155 then I ran out of road

 

yeah, it does take a little while to get there, but it handles it pretty well. and it won't go any faster than that

 

I took my G5 up to 87 MPH!!!! WOO HOOOOO!

I got my SS TC up to 210kmph but I wasnt even really trying, the road was a bit wet too

 

160 on a straight in a stock 06 SS/SC. 160+ in a 07 SC Stage 2, down-grade road.

158 in my 07 ss/sc. It wouldn't go any faster than that on a straight road. Stg 2, intake, catback.

i have been 203mph in my uncles 2009 Zr1 vette. i wrapped the needle in my 08SS/TC. it is limted to 158 either way

Electronically limited.

 

Got mine up to an amazing 150 and then tried to take a SLIGHT curve....cobalts do NOT handle well at that speed. Since then, 120 has been my limit.

 

something about 3digit speeds, 160 was like flying low whata rush! Now 203?! was that a Pubic road, track?

 

I read somewhere on here that the cobalt is aerodynamically limited to some goofy speed, buy I haven't heard that it was electronically limited. In fact, I've always been told that there is no governor on this car, which is what Electronically limited would be, correct?

 

Well whoever told you is wrong.

2.2's with a sport package and the SS/NA or Sport are limited to 130

LSJ are limited to 158

LNFs are limited to 155

All electronically.

Just because it is limited to that does NOT mean that it can go that.

 

(any car) is hard to maneuver at that speed. Its just about preparation though. My stock ride height 06 SC went 130-35 on a long sweepin curve undr acceleration. Thats what I love about this car, its very predictable at its limits and still very satisfying.
