I am excited about my upcoming changes to my car but plan to pull it apart in the fall and build it from ground up. What are some of the must do items you would change if you were doing a ground up build?

question is wat kind of car motor u have? and wat are u looking to do..upgrades on stock motor or going supercharged or turbo? and how much horsepower u looking to get

Beef up the transmission, axle, and piston sleeves!

 

If you are going from the ground up I'd strengthen the chassis/frame up with supports sub frame sway bars etc...I'd upgrade to pedders springs and tc shocks. Upgrade the control arms and motor/tranny mounts. Maybe uprgade to slotted rotors and Stainless Steel brake lines. Upgrade the axcels to the stg 2 ones offered.

Short throw shifter and upgraded clutch dependant on your power goals and preferences. Upgrade trans with some of the gearing change options or I think ZZP released one.

under the hood I would sleeve it bore it out a little and pop better pistons and rods in. Maybe do the 2.3l stroker kit. some P&P on the head with upgraded springs and cams and arp studs etc... Turbo kit of your choice. 3in catless exhaust, return style fuel system and E85 if available just for the hell of it. Throw in a 2-step and sticky set of tires and a nice tune. Call it a day

ya kinda sad that i never took it to the track with thoughs new tires on it ...and yea he lives in mission so not surprised lol...did you see if it was running or just on the sidelines?

 

I think he just ment around town, i havn't taken it to the track.... Yet.
But i've got a couple people wanting to race me in the summer, untill then just getting her ready i put an injen in it and ive got some ARK springs that are going on in a couple days (your H&R's suck lol)

 

they arn't my h&r's any more and i'll race you in the summer lol getting my new car on monday/ tuesday lol
