Stopped by Dueck Richmond after driving by almost everyday and looking at a yellow SS on the lot. I cuised in quick to get a look but was instantly hit by a sales guy......oh well he spent more time asking about mine and telling me he would have bought this one had it been black. He told me it already has the stage 2 upgrade, a air intake and the gm catback. It has 40k on it and they want minimum 16.900.00. It looked rough inside and under the hood. I was thinking of picking up something to rebuild from ground up. Waht do you all think......its on the dueck site and they said 290 hp.

ahh yes the one I seen in craigslist, it's not 290 hp, more like 250

Just a heads up that Volvo of Surrey has a Yellow S/C one sitting on there lot. I don't know anything about it, as I just drove past it the other day.

Surrey one has just over 100,000km which would be fine for your since you plan to rebuild it all anyways

It's not anywhere near 290 Hp he's full of ****
The GMPP exhaust is only 2 1/4" diameter so that will not help that much with power and STG.2 + Air intake is not good for 90+ Hp gains.

If the interior is rough looking than it's worthless and no one will pay the full re-sell value

LSJ and 2.4 exhuast is 2.5 inch till the axle where it goes to 2.25 at the bend

To give you some perspective I paid $22,700 for my '09ss. 17k for 3-5 year old car is very high more like 12K for a good deal.

It depends on the amount of Km on it and the condition that it's in.
Was it in like new condition? Fully Loaded?

Chevy's don't hold their value like imports and they are hard to sell. I was offered 10k for my 2.2 with all it's mods.

highly modded cobalts dont sell well, risky buy for people that dont know the full history of the car and such.
