If you did a straight across trade for that truck then you still be stuck with that $10,000 payment you cant afford and that truck would be even harder to sell then the cobalt considering the gas prices and economy lol.

I already PM'd him and told him that I owe 10k on the car, and he would have to take on payments or pay off the 10k. I'm assuming he analyzed this thread as well as you did. If so, then there is no use for a narrator. If not, then I can let him know I'm not interested.
Now unless you have any questions on how you want to pay for and pick up the car, then I think everything is cleared up now.
Once again, thank you to everyone for the Bumps.

I have thought about it, but I despise carmax, and I know they won't give me full value, and I'll wait as long as I can to get the most for it. I need enough to get a decent car cash.
The payment isn't based on what is left on a loan...its typically a fixed payment for 5-6yrs (that range is normal for purchasing a new car). So whatever his payment is this month is the same as his very first payment on the Balt
Not to be a dick, but you know someone can't 'take over payments'. They'd have to get $17,000 financed at X% over the course of Y years at $ZZZ dollars.
The only way someone COULD pick up payments is if they just agreed to pay you monthly, but it'd take both of you being severe dumbasses to do that.
I just don't think its fair for someone to be lured with a promise of low payments, unless they had equivalent credit, and $7000 cash.
Plus I hear this 'take over payments' **** all the time, and it just doesn't exist. And that pisses me off.
Free bump for you though, on a very nice car and an excellent price.

But in the end, I will thank you for the bump. I hope I didn't sound like a dick. But hopefully people will start understanding the power of written and notarized contract in agreement with the financing company. Frankly, it pisses me off!!!! haha jk
sounds good, but even though it IS possible to have someone take over payments, I would much rather have someone pay cash for the car (pay off the car). But like i have said before, I am willing to discuss any offers, and see what happens. If someone has an offer, just PM me, just know I am only gonna follow through with offers if it is completely safe. Safety first haha
Doesn't **** me off. 3 things:
1) Prove it. I'll find someone with shittastic credit (shouldn't be hard around a military town) and send them your way, I'm sure the bank will laugh their ******* asses off when they try to pay $193 a month on ~$10,000, which my ballpark guess is around 5% APR. It just doesn't work that way, period.
As I said, it only works if someone had EQUIVALENT credit (and of course the $7 cash you are seeking) to be able to do this.
2) Dumbasses? Here's how come. The reason someone agreeing to pay YOU month to month would be stupid is that: (a) The loan would remain on YOUR credit, meaning if they decided not to pay you, you're fucked. Car's totaled and they didn't keep insurance? Fucked again. Worst case scenario, always. -- and (b) They have no recourse if you decide to stop making the payments on the loan they are giving. ****, you could keep their money for 6 months, let the car get repo'd, and they could do dick about it. I am in no way of accusing of doing something so rude or terrible, but, **** I don't know you and wouldn't trust you with $7,000 (the cash offset). Who would? You would trust a stranger with that?
Notarized = Who gives a ****? So one of you takes the other to court and wins, THEN what? Can't do ****. They skip state and you've won a local court case against a ghost.
3) You're a dick. But I'm probably a bigger one. And besides, it's never too late to get an education on something -- who cares if people say **** all the time, doesn't mean they're right in doing so. Call your bank and ask them, seriously. Anyhow, free bump again. Hope you sell quickly.

Boost this....DarkSargeant means well...it's dangerous and risky to have someone take over payments... helluva lot safer to sell the car outright if you can....be sure to take pics of your car and make flyers ...send them around (post in shops where you can)..could help you sell. - Just a suggestion. Again, a very nice car....bump
