2006 Sunburst Orange G85 Stage (5)

I live in CT and I'm in the Navy, I have a SUNBURST ORANGE 2006 G85 with more upgrades then possibly imagined! The car only has 24,000 miles and Blue books for $15,500. It is the top of the line model, with Perreli P-zero's with 85% life! It's never been beat upon I am a grown-up and this is my daily driver. I did all of the upgrades to improve gas milage and anyone with a highly modded cobalt will vouch to that. I get around 36 MPG in the city and 38 on the highway! No ****!

Modds: Pacesetter longtube header, specialy made 3" catless down pipe wich mates to 2.5" catback with flowmaster 40 series and stock tip. Supercharger was ported and polished by Ultimate240 and a one off bell intercooler intake manifold that was built at ultimate 240, coupled to a 2.6 ZZP modular pulley system along with the manual tensioner. this is super cooled with a Ultimate240 meth kit and a 50gph injector for the meth. also to quinch the engines thirst it is fed with 60lbh injectors. All where brought togather at SMG motorsports and tuned by the man him self! It made to the wheels 283whp and 266ftlb!!! Hints the increadible gas milage.

Looks: HID'S from ZZP that look spectacular and set off the sunburst orange at dusk! Also the whole entire engine bay is maticulus most peices are powdercoated or painted to match paint code!

It drives perfect and looks awsome and is in deed a G85.

Asking 15,500 or best offer.....

CHECK OUT THIS SLIDE SHOW TO SEE THE CAR FOR SALE!

Umm..... C5's make 350hp. It has more than a C4, if that's what you're aiming for.

C5's make 260 to the wheels, it's nothing more then an LS1 which don't get me wrong is an amazing engine, just keep in mind my cobalt makes more whp then the C5 vette. Do some research.

My Bone stock LS1 Camaro made 300 to the wheels. Where are you getting your numbers from? Do some real research.

Your bone stock camaro is a freak then cause all the dyno sheets of stock LT1's and LS1's I've seen are from 255-268ish at the wheels in fact I was just at SMG motor sports last weekend and witnessed 2 LS1 dyno's and they made 255-268 WHP and 320ish Ftlbs of torque?

Yea, just double click on my slide show there is a picture of the sheet you can view another thing is once I get back up to MASS I can IM you a new dyno sheet once I install the meth injector in the intake manifold and add more timing. Another thing I noticed is the cooler my AIT's the more boost my 2.7 makes I'm currently seeing 20psi on the dyno at 6,500 RPM's. looking to brake the 290's!

Don't know about your dyno results but check out ls1tech.com I have never seen a stock ls1 make in the 260s... my T/A has just CAI,LT Headers and no cats, after tune it made 320RWHP and 344RWTQ with a few freak numbers higher... Your telling me those mods added 60+ HP and TQ to the wheels? :\

I put last dyno runs sheet on there. I never put the new on there, once I go back up to mass I'll grab the new one and post it. I'll also have a new one yet again once I try out my new intake manifold.

It's cause of the types of upgrades I did to my balt and the tune if you wanted to pull more timing on the dyno you could make a bit more power but I had fred tune it for fuel economy and I still made good power! A C5 Corvette only had the LS1 5.7 liter V8 WHICH ONLY MADE 350 HORSE POWER AT THE F-EN CRANK. IN ORDER TO MAKE 350 TO THE WHEELS IT WOULD OF HAD TO BEEN A Z06 405. LEARN ABOUT GM'S BEFORE YOU TRY TO BASH ME!!!!!

THIS IS A QOUTE FROM A ARTICLE ONLINE:
Coupled with the Jet chip and a K&N air-induction system, this exhaust would give Tony 318 rear-wheel horsepower, an increase of 15 hp over the stock 303. Torque also increased from 320 at 4,250 rpm to a best of 326 at 4,500 rpm.

your right about that. ls6s usually make about 350-360 to the wheels. Anything with a ls1 in it would put down 300+ to the wheel though.

Uh dude...so if its rated 350 at the crank then I really didn't have 205 at the wheels when i bought my Balt SS, it would have been at the crank. But funny I just got the car dynoed at 251 WHP (wheel horsepower). So GM must be lying when they put 350 HP on the sticker of the car when its sold on the lot. If it only made 250-260ish at the wheels then it wouldn't compete with other sports cars like BMWs and Porches. Trust me I know about GMs, its all I've worked on for 9 years straight. Also if you want the dyno sheet I can post it up for you, if I can figure out how to upload pics on this site that is lol

this tread bothers me cuz it seems like no one actually wants to go and double check, they just want to bash and argue...and yes they are lying...they call it under rating to help sales because insurance rates are lower with a lower powered car...thats how it started anyway. and did you know the srt4 that was "rated" at like 235 at the crank, i heard reports of 285 at the wheels, SHOWROOM STOCK, so yes there are freaks out there but its actually called underrating and overrating, and hp numbers from the factory will always be crank hp.

ok well if its crank hp...not being a dick...then why do the cars dyno over 205 at the wheels when their stock? You do realize that at the crank means motor alone, no transaxle, no extra parasitic draws, just the motor with all necessary components plus a/c compressor, alternator, and supercharger. And yes...every car is underrated from the factory, not trying to make up for my mistakes, i know i left **** out, and what SRT-4 have you seen dyno at 285 stock? please inform me on that because i might want to see a video of it or at least a dyno chart.
