Thinking About Selling
Hey, I have a silver 2008 G85 (Limited slip differential factory option) SS Coupe with only one performance mod: GMS1, installed by the dealership (I justified the purchase of the kit because GMS1 was reported to increase fuel efficiency from 30mpg to 31mpg).
A little bit about me: I'm 26 and my friends call me Grandpa..., and I honestly do drive like an old man. I've been averaging about 26-30mpg because I do drive like such an old man.
Non-Smoker
I'm ASE certified in engine performance and have two years of automotive experience as a mechanic. Should you decide you want to take a look, I won't try to BS you like a shady used car lot would. I'll be happy to jack the car up, put it on jack stands, and let you take a look under the car.
Also, if you're interested, I'd be willing to send in an oil sample to Blackstone Labs for analysis when I do my next oil change, so you can get an independent evaluation of the condition of the internal condition of the engine. I can report with confidence that I never have to top off my engine with oil between oil changes.
All maintenance was always performed before recommended intervals.
I've kept up with Brake/clutch fluid and transmission fluid, engine and cabin filter around every 30,000miles).
Every other oil change, reapplied brake grease on front + rear calipers to prevent rotor scoring, especially on the rear (common issue with the LNF SS)
Front and rear shocks replaced (stock factory parts, AC Delco FE5 suspension)
I have most of my fuel purchase receipts, which I mostly purchased from Top Tier Fuel sources (Shell, Exon).
Only used Premium Fuel, NEVER regular (especially with GMS1 since 91+ octane is required)
Maintenance records in the manual. Receipts available.
I've even made sure to keep the rubber seals around the sunroof, doors, and trunk lubricated with silicone spray (helps with wind noise).
Everyone says this but "mostly highway miles". I did three round trips across the continental US (about 15,000+ miles), and I have the fuel receipts and some pictures to prove it.
The car has had virtually only one owner: me. I say virtually because I purchased it from a guy when it only had 3,400miles.
No CEL. Just passed NJ Inspection until 2015.
I have a baby on the way, my wife doesn't drive stick (yet), and these NJ roads are just killing me... time to settle down and buy a boring family sedan.
Thanks for reading
