2009 Cobalt SS/TC Sport Red Tintcoat Sedan - under 15k miles.

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Sport red tintcoat, one owner, 14,874 miles.

Options nclude sunroof, premium sound system with factory in trunk subwoofer, and the G85 limited slip differential.

This is a relatively unmolested car, the mods I have done to it include:

- GM factory color matched armrest
- GM factory sport pedals
- GM factory SS under hood blanket
- ZZP stainless downpipe
- ZZP stage 1 tune

The car has been meticulously maintained, not that there was much to do besides oil changes given the mileage. It had a new battery put in this winter and I just changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, and wipers prior to listing it. This car is in excellent condition, with only minor chips and dings that you would expect for a car of this year and mileage and the interior is also in excellent condition. One wheel has some curb rash. This car has had one adult owner, myself, and I've never raced it, taken it to the drag strip, launched it by dumping the clutch, or abused it at all. I'm selling because I've got a baby on the way and don't drive this car anymore. It has had practically no mileage put on since 2011, just run occasionally to keep everything in order.

Comes with original down pipe & pedals, as well as a chipped tail light that I replaced (it was cracked while putting a bicycle in the trunk), two intercoolers with cracked end tanks (cracked the original going up a steep driveway ramp, and the first replacement I got turned out to be cracked as well), a charge pipe assembly that came with one of the replacement intercoolers, 3 oil changes worth of Pennzoil platinum full synthetic (meets the required GM4718M spec) and 1 oil filter.

Asking $15,500

As requested, an engine bay video of the car idling.

Now, this didn't turn out like I hoped, as the microphone on my phone must be terribly biased in picking up treble over bass.

Holy ****, when I open the hood in the video it sounds like the mic is recording from inside the cylinder head, and it doesn't pick up the rumble of the exhaust very well at all. Also, it seemed to amplify me sighing super loud as well.

Anyway, in real life the valve / belt / fuel pump noise is much more subdued and the exhaust rumble and burble is much more pronounced. The cat back exhaust is stock, but significantly louder than factory due to the catless downpipe.

I initially wanted to record it from a cold start to fully heated up (radiator fans kicking on), but I had just changed the oil, and the car didn't want to warm up through idling and mild revving much past 190 degrees, so after 12 or so minutes I just called it good.

As of this posting youtube is still processing the video, so the one up right now is pretty low quality until youtube finishes processing it.

GM part numbers are 12499875 for the automatic and 12499876 for the manual. You can get the manual ones for $117 shipped on eBay. The clutch and brake are simple covers and super easy to install. The accelerator is a replacement drive by wire assembly and is a PITA to install.

As requested, people were interested what I meant by "minor chips and dings", so I went out and did an inventory of all the blemishes I could find:

Small dent near the antenna, would pull out with PDR. The line in the picture is the reflection of the antenna

Two touched up stone chips and a light scratch in the clear coat on the hood. Would buff out.

Touched up stone chip on a door edge. Would buff level

Small scratches in the rear bumper by the trunk from loading.

Scratches in the clearcoat on the rear bumper. Would buff out.

Touched up chip on the rear bumper

Touched up paint chip on another door edge:

Another touched up chip towards the top and right of quarter, the one below is a reflection, I think.

Chip on the front fender edge near the headlight, needs to be touched up

Chip near the headlight, needs touch up

Chip on the fender well, needs touch up, but down to primer, not metal

Tiny dent in fender well to the right of quarter, hard to see in picture as well as in person

Chip in paint on hood edge towards windshield. Needs touch up, cant tell if this is just in the clear coat or down to primer

Absolutely tiny dent to the right of quarter on hood. When I say tiny, it took me five minutes to find it, and I knew it was there

Anyway, as you can tell, these are all minor issues that could easily be brought to perfect by a competent detailer. Yes, I'm probably missing others, it was hard enough to find these. No, I will not come down on price because of them, my asking price reflects condition. I'm not going to touch up the ones that I found that aren't touched up yet. I figure the buyer will have the option of having a professional detailer touch them up better than I could, or the car will come with a tube of GM factory touch up paint and you can touch them up yourself if you don't care that it's not absolutely perfect. Ask me nicely and I'll even do it for you.
