2009 SS Sedan - Should I buy this car? Or is it cursed...
This 2009 Blue SS Sedan was just for sale at Terry Cullen’s dealership in Jonesboro GA. They wanted too much money and couldn’t sell it – so they dumped it at auction (for less money than they could have got from negotiating with John Q. Public?) to AutoShowcase car sales, who moved it to Chicago. Now they want too much money for it too.
I guess I could make AutoShowcase an offer, but here is my dilemma; the original seller had three 6’s in his phone number, the new seller’s phone number ends with three 6’s and the car’s VIN ends with three 6’s. I’m spooked.

Don't overthink it, but it if the price is right. I'd offer them about 1500 over what they paid at auction if its a good deal for you. You have to figure their auction fee, transportation, and detail fees.
Almost 20k for an 09 Sedan with that many miles is a little steep. I didn't see a sunroof & you also don't know if it has LSD or not (if that matters to you) I bought my Victory Red 09 Sedan w/ Sunroof, Bluetooth, USB Radio, Non-LSD w/ 3500 miles on odo for 17,4xx out the door for a price comparison. But hey, if you really want it and you can afford it, scoop it up!
Very nice looking car, I love that color
I say buy it!
Better yet buy this, it's at the same dealership

Without looking at it close, I don't know what hidden things are going on with it. It obviously has an aftermarket shift knob. For all I know it had drag slicks on it and the dealer took them off.
Even a certified GM used vehicle (this is not) which commands $800 to $1000 over top dollar books less than $19k. This car is at least $2k to $3k overpriced, but that's just standard procedure where dealers start. I have yet to find a dealer that won't knock off $1k in the first 2 minutes of negotiation. How much lower you can get them to go depends on how long and hard you want to negotiate. Most people, like me, don't want to haggle. Some just pay the high price, others walk away. I just tell them what it is worth to me and it is their choice if they want to sell it at that price. Or they can say no and sell it cheaper at private dealer auction when it never sells. Great business model to keep the public market price high.

If you got to shop for a truck, that's easy. Get a combination truck and car. No, not an El Camino, get a Rally Fighter!
