FS 1979 Trans Am
FS 1979 Trans Am
Car is a 1979 Pontiac Trans am.
The car is in decent condition for as old as it is. It's not perfect but its not a junker either. There is some body damage, and probably some repairs needed (nothing major). It has t-tops and a aftermarket Richmond 5 speed transmission. The engine is a 6.6L 400 Pontiac mill, which is the rarer and more valuable engine as 1979 was the last year it was in production. The car has had a complete suspension rebuild and doesn't shake at higher speeds that is common on older cars., new tires, headers and exhaust with cutouts, numerous engine mods, tinted windows and a decent radio (though the installation isn't pretty because it was broken into). The car also has power windows that have never failed on me in 5 years of ownership. The car has about 50-60K miles on the rebuilt engine. The car has run mid 13s without much trouble, and has only seen a few 1/4 trips. I have numerous parts for the car that I can include in the sale of the car.
The car already is a real head turner, the exhaust sounds like someone blasting their system, it has so much bass in the tone that it rattles windows and sets off alarms. A little investment in it and it would be a world class car again. The interior has seen better days but is easily fixed by repainting it.
I will post pics if anyone wants them
