We are not all Cobalt gear heads here. Theres alot of experience floating around with boxer engines. Its almost 100% fact that within 100k miles a tuned boxer motor will need a rebuild. There pistons are like butter. That one I just showed you a photo of had a turbo blow on it and it also fried a piston on 2 seperate occassions within 10k miles of each other. It was sitting at about the same mileage as yours does now. Agile did the work which is why Shawn was steamed with them.. and he just wanted to get out of subbie dodge. The cars a good car, but maintenance is a bitch.
Im just saying 19,5K is high even for one of the most beloved years of subbies. That is my favorite year. 2nd would be the 06-07's, followed by the 98's-99's. And I hate the bug eyes.
The two turbos he did were originally a GT30R and then a 20g. GT30 went boom. It might have been a GT28 but I think I remember GT30R.
My friend has a 20g 08 wrx that made 350whp and 360trq and I know it wont sell for 19,5k with it being a newer car and all.
Jeremy, if you want a subbie, Scott might sell you his if he gets his BRZ
Hes doing a EJ20 swap into a BRZ and already has 5 sponsors including Agile lol. he needs a fabricator sponsor so they can make some engine mounts for him.

those cars are known for engine failure, more specific ringlands when they get higher in miles you might as well start saving to do a build. the first thing most subaru owners ask each other is what motor are you on lol trust me i've been to enough meets to know. I have one friend who's 04 only made it to 70k on stage two before he lost compression and another one who's 05 made it about 105k and he lost cylinder 4, 06-07s are a different story they blow up as soon as you turn the key
not trying to say you are trying to sell a blown up car but with my knowledge its something sitting in the back of my head

joe if its the blue wrx i don't want it i can't stand those years they are ugly as sin, but i am thinking about grabbing an evo x as my next car, but if this sti just so happen to be the right price i may be willing to make a deal lol
I have an 08 SS/tc , 61,xxx on the car and 31,xxx on the engine and trans they were both replaced due to factory defects, its imperial blue with upper and lower charge pipe, intake, tial BOV, ZZP catless DP w/2nd o2 bung, after that basically stock needs tuned.LMK if you're interested. I'm in South Korea right now till May 23rd then I'll be moving to Ft. Campbell, KY so it would make it really easy to meet half way

yup. Supply and Demand, He may be keeping that number for a couple years before he finds a taker. If he said 15k or trade + 2k$ he may sell it if someone has 2k$. If he bought that thing used for close to 30k$ and he cant go lower than 19k$ to pay off the difference, he fucked himself.
I mean its a stock STi with springs, intake and exhaust, tuned. Its over the 60k mile mark and if it hasnt recieved its first engine rebuild, its gonna need one soon lol.

Just for reference, I used to have a 04' sti and sold it at 160k miles on original motor, turbo, etc. It still had great compression within specs and did good on leakdown test as well. I was the second owner and it was a awesome reliable car. I'll admit, these motors are notorious for bad rings, but I believe if you take care of them and don't drive the crap out of it all the time, then they'll last. I have found several sti's and wrxs with 170-220k miles and still going. There's one on IWSTI with 210k ish miles on stock motor and transmission. Just had to replace struts several times.
I use to have a stage 3 ZZP 07' SS/SC and it was very similar in power to a stock sti. Fwd wasn't fun and car didn't feel very safe but it was overall a nice car with good power. It seemed to handle very well, didn't grip like awd but still fun around turns. It actually had aftermarket lowering springs so that probably helped some. I like cobalts, just wish they came in rwd and sounded better.. I live in East TN, just 30 mins from the Tail of the Dragon 129, so awd is just more practical and fun for where I live.
Once again, I have another 04 sti and this one has around 110k miles on it, and has stock motor- stage 2. Timing belt was done already and I'm sure it will last past 150k miles, as long as I don't feel the need for a bigger turbo
