some people are different man. some people can't part with their toys and wait til the last second to start putting money together to buy a home. ( not saying anything about OP) and some tuck their money away for these causes. ALso, everybody has different things going on in their lives. WHat if the OP's wife just got preggo and they needed to move in a house and save money for the baby. Then i assume you wouldnt say anything about the "House time, gotta sell stuff." just saying everybodys lives and income are diffferent so this means different plans of action.
