09 sedan back from the track

So i went to the track tonight. This was my second time since i bought the car on 8-20-10. The first time i had it out i was new to the car, 14.55 @99 2.23 60...not to happy with that. I had no prep though. Didnt even look at the tire pressure and had half a tank in her.

This time around i came to play, i feel like it still had more in it if i could hit the 1-2 shift ( the stock shifter in these cars are a joke...) and shift where i wanted. Ran a 14.153 @ 101.79 with at 2.18 60. best 60 of the night was 2.16 on **** stock conti's. I bumped up the rear tire pressure to 48, front to 27, changed the oil since it was at 20%, Got some footballs and had a quarter tank of gas. Only bad part to the night was my times got worse for the most part as the night went on. So...its tune time + drag radials.. we will see what happens.

The slower times as the runs went on could be from heatsoak?
Good 60s though, I havent been able to break out of 2.4 I had one 2.39 but I've only been twice and the track sucks. I heard one guy say he was cutting 0.2 quicker at a different track.

I dont know if heat soak really effects a stock car....i may be wrong. I drove probably 15min to the track, let it sit for 15min, ran once...14.39 @ 100 new best, hot lapped it to a 14.15 @101.79 so... it was still pretty hot. I did notice my 60s getting more violent...dont know what that was about. Maybe the footballs were loosing air, causing the car to act more like stock.

edit* i guess the intercooler and manifold could get so hot that it wouldnt matter if the car was trying to compensate for air or elevation, or any other variables for that matter...so i guess heat could have affected it.
