11's or bust?!?!?

New England Dragway opens today. I'll be driving up there to make some run's today during street night then again tomorrow during a test and tune.

Previously I was using BFG G-force 255-50-16 DR's. Now I'm on 26x9 Hoosier QTP cheater DOT's.
My previous best's were 12.6 @ 112 on a dif turbo 75whp down from now, and 12.8 @119 on this turbo 35whp down from now. The 119 was on the limiter so I got new springs and bumped my limit to 7800. Also I added meth and I'm running a FMIC instead on a w2a IC. Still on the stock original motor and tranny.

Soooo, knowing all that what are your predictions.

I'd say possible with that setup.

How's E-town's prep for street night and T&T?

I'm gonna guess that you'll still have traction issues and end up w/ a low 12 and somehwere around 122-123 trap...

That's exactly where I think I'll be. I'm hoping for 11's but I get I don't hit it. Street night tonight prep is pretty bad, but, I'm not going to push it. Tomorrow during the TNT it should be prepped nicely.

Oh, and good luck tonight!

it will run 11's easy if it doesnt blow, which i dont think it will.

if you trap 122-123 and dont run an 11 on QTP, there is some serious driver error going on.

You should be fine on a 26x9 Hoosier. I doubt you get any rubbing. Your gearing won't be the greatest with those big boys, but there is absolutely NO reason that you shouldn't hit 11's. If you don't hit 11's, then either you started to have problems, or you were just to scared to launch it.

I fully expect you to launch that thing over 5k rpms every time.

Pretty awful track experience.

Friday night-

Well the first pass of the day, wasn't bad. I had the first run of the seaon and clicked off a 12.8 @ 115 W/ a 2.1. I was pretty happy and it was a good place to start. The tune was a full point rich because I mixed my meth fucked. Anyway, second pass I blew a charge pipe.
After that every pass I either popped a charge pipe or was spinning too bad. I was spinning in third with the slicks, I've never even spun third on the street unless it was wet out.

Regardless the rest of the Friday was awful. But, I had high hopes for Saturday. I cleaned up my tune over the night go all the charge pipes stupid tight and the car was running pissa.

Saturday-
I get there when the gates open and I get the first pass of the day again. The car felt great, then blew a charge pipe!?!? WTF IDK what was going on. But, I noticed it was oily every time I went to reattach them. Like oil was building up in the CP and keeping the couplers from getting a good bite. So, I doubles up some clamps where it was blowing off and it found a new place to pop. More and more oil is covering the piping and silicon all the time. I checked my oil and it was a quart low.

After adding oil I figured I would recheck my hot tire pressure. 15psi on one side, 0psi on the other. The tube was done. Being, and optimistic trying to keep the weekend from going to complete **** the street tires went on the car. And, you guessed it, charge piping blew off more and more. Oil is all over everything. I checked past my intercooler and there is oil on that side too.

So, In the end the turbo is toast, the intercooler is half filled with oil, my tire is flat and my best pass was the very first one.

But, there is always next weekend.....

That sucks bro. Have SMG weld the end of those charge pipes to keep them from popping off.

Double check compression just to be sure...
