13.80 @ 110mph ......... Got Traction?

Yeah, so last night was the first night at the track for me with this car. Traction was a nightmare. I had no choice but to use the traction control because it was pretty cold and even at half throttle I was breaking loose. The best 60' time I got was a 2.309. I really wasn't hooking up until the top of 2nd gear. 3rd had a bit of spin but the car was still pulling pretty hard and 4th was no problem.

Here is what the time slip says. Let me know what to do to improve the first 330' of the run. I am pretty happy with my MPH.

60' - 2.309
330' - 6.189
1/8 - 9.175
MPH - 84.08
1000' - 11.684
1/4 - 13.80
MPH - 110.17

not bad for the first time
Now turn off the ESC even if you cant get traction you need to keep trying it sooner or later you will fined traction everyone dose it was just your first time
also 22psi in the front tires help.
I hope you are useing the NLS

I was NLS'ing into 3rd and 4th. I am going to try and shift a little earlier next time. Probably around 5000rpm. That seems to be the point when the car stops making power.
I had the tires at full pressure still, I wasn't sure where to set them so I just left it alone. I'll start hunting lower ET's in the spring.

Around 2000 - 2500. I wasn't launching too hard because of the low traction.

Yeah, the car was pulling real hard at the top end. I drove around an NSRT-4 that had about 2 cars on me at the 1/8 mile. Ended up beating him by a couple tenths.

I was trapping higher MPH than everything else that was running in the 13's that night.

Nice first runs! Sounds like the track might not have been prepped all that well. Just keep practicing, maybe back off the throttle some more. Or push the easy button and get some drag radials, lol.

Your 60' is terrible, that could be a mid to low 13s run.

Oh I know it! But the first time at the track in this car on a cold night with stock tires at full pressure, I didn't have much of a chance from the get go. I'll be better prepared the next time.

Yeah I'm going to look into getting radials or slicks for next season. No sense forking out the money now. I'll probably only get 1 more track day in before the season is over.

spinning until the top of 3rd sucks but it feels good when u catch and pass people that thought they were gonna win.

if you are already spinning in second, and shift to third you will probably continue to spin in third (especially if the car is traveling at a slower speed). if you maintain 60MPH
(like if the cruise was set) in third gear, and then floor it you are not spinning. very very
few cars on this board can do this. if you think you are spinning, you are probably getting clutch slip. not saying it isn't possible, just saying very few can do it. my car runs 12.90's
, does 60-100 in 5.42 and has the pill mod with a boost spike on the gauge of 29 psi.
(holds at 24.5 psi). i can not spin in third gear. just saying.

make sure you aren't just dumping the clutch. even when launching from low rpms when you dump the clutch it's gonna spin, and once you start spinning you can't stop it lol.

Damn, you ran a tenth faster than me but at 7 mph faster lol. I'm bone stock, I had a best of 2.3 60 as well, that mph I would expect low 13s at the very least.

I've been having a hell of a time hooking up at my local track too. I wouldn't be too disappointed because I'd love to be running 13's.

I ran a 14.3 and I am completely stock. The best launch was damn near at idle roll off the clutch and floor it. Tires was down to 24 and all I did was hold at 1000 and roll of the clutch. Anything else the car would bog or spin then bog down..... The track was so sticky I had to do burnouts in the water and ease out to clean the water off. Every car and driver I different. And that was at ifo in baton rouge at state capital raceway

Launch around 2500 with a quick slipping of the clutch. You can also ask Vince to reduce the Tq Mgmt in 1st gear a lil bit to help.

Trap speed is pretty on point tho!
