22" slicks

So I read the thread mark wrote on picking the right size slicks and from what I gathered 23" was the way to go. Tonight on my local craigslist I found a set of 22" slicks for $150... Granted they don't come with wheels but still I think thats a deal. So the question is is that TOO small?

You will be grabbing 4th on those at the strip. A little short but they are better than street tires!

Kinda what I was thinking. Would be better than street tires for sure... but I'm goin for lowest time possible, so if I have to spend extra to get the right size, I will.

I havent mounted them yet since the wheels showed up the day after the track event last year so I had to borrow my old ones back They are on 15" Verde protocol wheels, and I will have to grind the calipers down. Kenny and Lars both have the same wheels.

I never had steelies, besides the 4x100 ones that were on my SC1 before the Rota's. I had sport edition 16" wheels with Hoosier QTP's that I sold to my friend (cbro on here). I now have the Verde's with the new slicks.
