60 ft questions

Ok, I've taken my cobalt ss/tc to the track a good handful of weekends and its ran pretty good. I ran a 13.54 at 105 (I'm HP Tuned with a aem cai and an exhaust) but what drives me crazy is that i consistently get about low 2.4 60 foots my best may have been dipping into the 2.3's but i dont remember exactly i havent looked at my slips in a while. But lots of you guys seem to be getting around 2.1's or 2.0's. Im just wondering how you guys do this because if i could get that low of a 60 foot my times would be much better. By the way im on the stock conti's as well.

What rpms are you launching at? I don't have the same car as you but I launch at idle rpms and run 2.1 60' quite often.

I get major wheel-spin at those rpms. The key to decent 60' times is trying to keep your tires on that fine line of having traction and breaking loose. Lower your launch point and practice.

thanks guys, i have a drag car now so the cobalt wont be seeing much track time anymore...but if it does ill be sure to try it out. i think low 13's would be definitely achievable if i got it down to a 2.1 or so....but now im used to my drag cars 1.6's now haha
