i really have no idea how people don't know more about these cars. GM put so much time and money into all the build books to show what the cars were capable of and no one even looks at them

X10 Some of the build books take you, step by step, part by part, beer break by beer break through the whole build with part numbers used and sources. All you need after that is some cubic bucks, ***** and desire. I've got one book from 2001 that builds a 757HP Ecotec using several of the parts found now, stock, in the LNF. It has a chart showing how much power could be made with each part, when they changed it (at what HP) and what they replaced it with as they built the engine. Extremely interesting.

This is from 2001. The present LNF has a forged crank, head to bearing cap thru bolts, stainless intakes, sodium filled exhausts, and the engine block/head is generally stronger than a 2001 NA engine. Looking at what they used then and what they achieved and comparing it to what we have now there's a lot of untapped power in the LNF. It just needs an intelligent, gentle, massage.

I hope you find this equally as interesting as I did.

I just wish GM would have spent more money advertising this back in the day. Maybe it would be easy and cheap to build one nowadays.
