im racin my friends vette tomorrow!!! its and 85 5 speed i think...stock cept for mufflers

i think itll be close but im gonna get my friend to be in the vette and video it!!! so no matter what its gonna be a good video

were gonna do a 20 and 40 roll

what do yall think the outcome will be?

I THINK that was the first year of the L98. You'll absolutely CRUSH him by bus lengths

 

They are rated at 14.1 @ 97 in the 1/4.. so it will be fairly close

Now if he had a 1984.. you'd crush him. They are rated at 15.5 @ 88.... its just amazing how slow they are

 

it maybe close with a stock cobalt from a dig but with the mods he has from a roll it will wipe the floor with that vette

Wow. I would have thought that you would have him, especially going from a roll. Are you sure that all he had was different mufflers?

yea i got to look at the engine and it was stock...but maybe he had a full cat back or something

 

next time do a 45mph roll, doing a roll from 20 is worthless IMO.

 

A couple of things you could have done different:

1. Remove the fatass from the vehicle.

2. Remove any other extra items from the vehicle

3. Roll up the ******* windows, do you know how much drag that makes?

Either you can't drive or that's a 383 in that engine bay. NO WAY an 85 can run those times stock.

The 85 TPI made peak power at 4800rpm and redlines at 5200

 

it's fishy, true, because on paper, my 2.4 should run with an 85 tpi.

now, that said, those engines can make a lot more power very easy and pretty cheaply...

 

You got punked. Clean and simple. I'd expect a 383 L98 to run times like your SS would.
