85 Vette vs SS/SC
Your better off with Traction bars; Bwoody makes a decent set. I'll have my CA 1" Traction bars on by thursday. They work a lot better than a bandaide torque dampener fyi.
Nah wasn't being sarcastic; I was congratulating you on a good all out effort race. Win, lose, you gave that Corvette a run.

Im surprised to say the least.
A. Get rid of the fatass
B. He has more than just mufflers
C.Really... This makes no sense, I have less mods than you and I held an 07 STI to 125+ Like within half a car front bumper to front bumper.
You mean to tell me that thing is faster than an 07 STI?

i used to work loss prevention, and worked my way up to full time , know i work in the warehouse as a inventory senior, and they pay me $14 a hour, in a year i should be a SUpervisor and make $20 plus bonuses
must be nice man, i only wish i could make that kind of money, with bonuses in a year you can do 45k which should be more than rnough for me and my girl if not a mgr spot is always in my head
Something doesn't seem right with the Corvette. They were rated at 205 hp. With your mods you should have been able to edge him out. Aren't they a little heavier than the 'balt too? More drivetrain loss by comparison due to rwd. There has to be something more than exhaust done to it.
Here's my information source: http://www.web-cars.com/corvette/1985.php (...and I dare you to click on 2009especially parts 5-7).

A real no-compromise fuel injection system, not seen on a Corvette since 1965, took its place. It was a Bosch designed and built system and was the source of significant improvements in power (was 205 hp, now 230 hp) and fuel economy.
To the OP... YOU WANNA BUY MY INGALL'S TORQUE DAMPNER?
And I know all too well about beating that model Vette, I've done it in my SS, he got a half second head start and I still beat him (Bracket Racing at the track). We've already established that the OP had a Clogged Cat (supposedly)... and that will seriously KILL HP.
It did have 205hp that year. Why else would it say "now 230?" It was rated at 205hp back in 1984.
"He" is me. I read the source clearly. I saw exactly what it said. Why would it say 205hp, now 230hp? Does the new SAE guidelines have anything to do with the measurement? Regardless, it still produces the same amount of power it did back then even if the guidelines for measurement changed.
BTW, I don't know anything about bracket racing.

I know enough about how clogged cats will hurt hp. I've suffered through it in a 3rd gen F-body and a Pontiac Fiero GT. However, there is yet to determine the actual cause of the problem that created the loss to the vette. After all, you did state "(supposedly)." If you are going to knit-pick about what I post, then realize you are subjecting yourself to the same. Find out if the cat was actually clogged. Don't just suppose.
On a side note: This is def the way a conversation should go between 2 Marines. You and I should now both realize that neither is going to give on this one until one has proven the other wrong beyond a reasonable doubt. So, I'm not going to argue over this anymore. It'll get nowhere.
