Just wanted to pass the word on to you guys that I, through my business, am setting up a race day at Great Lakes Dragaway for the fastest J-Bodies in the US and Canada and I would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested to come share in our fun and get some guaranteed runs and a chance at some money.

Here's some details....
When: June 24th
Where: Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin
What: JBody Shootout Race and other Match Races. Also a meet with people from around the country planning to attend to race and hang out.
Why: Why the **** not?
Who: The fastest JBodies around North America, and anyone else that wants to attend.
Other details: This date is set to coincide with a GLD Import Wars event. They have a audio contest, car show, and multiple racing classes for everything from 17 second cars to 9 second cars. I am going to be securing us AT LEAST one lane, maybe 2 depending on attendance, and will make sure everyone gets a decent amount of runs. I know everyone that will be working so it will be very easy to make everyone happy with their # of runs. I average 10 or more per event. I will also be running reaction time contest at the Import Wars events all year including this one. There is a cash prize for the R/T contest.

wut are hotel prices aorund there, im thinking i might go, seeing as work is farily lenient and its only 24 hour of driving, soo ill mark it my palm as possible dates, i figure itll only cost me about 3 grand lol

I'm less than an hour away from that track, and I'll get to test out my new injectors and tune.

 

There's so many hotels in the Chicago area, only 2 hours from the track, and up in the cities nearby in Wisconsin that I couldn't even give you a guess on all their prices.

 

ohh well, as sits i have the 4 days id need, but i think im gonna attempt to make it, either n my AWD turbo dodge colt, or my ss/sc lol it depends on if i wanna tow or drive lol

 

Your more than welcome to come with the Colt but you will not be able to compete in anything but the IW racing. Everything else is gonna be for JBodies and other GM cars.

 

well considering my colt runs once a year on the tracks up here lol, cuz i get booted off, than, and it only has a 5 gallon tank for fuel, ill probably drive the cobalt

Anyone can race because it's a regular track day. He will only get fun runs though...no competition runs of any kind.

Also...Friday is a RSD event which is basically street racing ON THE TRACK. Money does change hands at this event so if you want that's another race day.
ALSO...Saturday is a Nitrous Street Car Brawl day. Another awesome event. If you want to be at all 3 days we can arrange for camping space at the track. They got plenty of ground space, which you'll notice if you do a Google Earth view

This track is about 2 hours from downtown Chicago and about 30 miles from Milwaukee too. Just a few more things to entice you to make it a long weekend trip.
